Dick Butkus, Jack Lambert, & Ronnie Lott, etc have to laughing at today's flag football NFL. Manning, Brady, Brees etc might have all the records but Unitas to Fouts withstood hits over half their snaps that today would be roughing the passer.
Yeah, yeah, the high scoring 40 pass games today are exciting but there's some special respect due to the beasts that fought the battles before it started evolving towards flag football.

Brees threw a whopping 3 passes in the 4th quarter on a drive that started in the 3rd. He didn't play after the 12 minute mark in the 4th

Saints back up offense and defense were in the game with 12 min left. Guess that's running up the score. What if the saints don't score on the first drive in the 4th and instead they throw a pick 6 or something. Then it is 2 td game with 12 min left. And the panthers put up 28 pts in less than 15 min against the bucs the week before... They ran the score up in the same way the previous week on the bucs.

I agree. I don't BLAME teams for feeling "dissed", if you will. There is an etiquette in any competitive event to not kick someone while down.
BUT...the first defense against being run up is to STOP your opponent. You don't whine to the media about it. Oh well, just bulletin board material.
