Everyone hates on Apple, but he was the piece our defense needed in 2018. It was him coming to the team that solidified our secondary and turned that D around. Saints fans surely are a fickle bunch

I feel the same way. I think he was a good player for us that was prone to mistakes. His overall game was solid, but he lacked consistency. Drew will take advantage of him, but I can see him winning the majority of battles with whomever he is covering.

The #Panthers signed veteran CB Eli Apple for a 1-year deal worth $3M, source said. That includes a $750K signing bonus. All things considered, a nice payday this late in the game for Apple, who appeared to have a deal with the #Raiders before it fell through during free agency.
