y'know, thinking about this, the Panthers should face serious consequences, not just a 100,000 fine.
After the Saints won the Super Bowl, the league went on a witchhunt and eventually suspended our head coach an entire season, several other coaches a bunch of games, one guy got an indefinite suspension that threatened to end his career, and we forfeited draft picks.
All because of "Bountygate", supposedly trying to injure players for competitive advantage... and nobody was injured to the best of my knowledge.
Now, we have the concussion issue swirling around the league, there are numerous new rules in place for safety because the league is getting sued, the actual game is being threatened at some levels... and THIS happens.
At the very best (and what the Panthers are trying to say), Cam just has something wrong with his eye- and he goes down on the field while exiting the game, I guess to, what? Trick the refs into THINKING he is hurt, to buy more time for the backup to warm up? Ok then, he is faking an injury for competitive advantage in a playoff game and the team went along with it (or even encouraged it). If that's the case, there needs to be repercussions, because they are fiddling with the integrity of the game.
On the other hand, he WAS knocked silly, and met every criteria mandated by the league to undergo a thorough examination by an independent neurologist (big blow to the head, lingered on the ground after the hit, couldn't exit the field under his own power without stopping and going back down, sat there blinking both eyes with a dazed look). And the Panthers ignored the rule, and blatantly disregarded their own player's safety, because he's their starting QB and they were in a tight playoff game.
Either way, the Panthers were intentionally breaking the rules at the coaching level and above, during a playoff game. That needs to be addressed.

Don't forget the league also suspended our GM, front office staff and 6 players and team leaders.

He definitely immediately started fiddling with his eye so that was either poked as they say or he is a great real time actor

You know that these guys were mic'd up, so it'd be easy to figure out what was told to Cam. NFL has access to all the audio so if they really wanted to find out what happened, they could. We have 30 minute segments based on mic'd up games with featured players, so the proof is out there.

They gonna get fined for that bullshite

The guy wears a visor, really don’t want to hear it from this kid in a man suit.

So "getting poked in the eye" makes you stumble and fall down while walking to the sideline? I call bullshite. Just like Bountygate and everything else with the NFL, this whole concussion protocol is bullshite. It's window dressing. It's perception for the public so they can say they are actively doing something to protect the players. While this farce goes on, teams are figuring new ways to circumvent the rules and in the end, the teams know that the worst that will happen is they will get a fine. It's bullshite.

Unless you are the unfortunately chosen team to be made an example of, the audio gets magically deleted.
In the case of the Saints, the audio gets patched together from two different players to sound bad.

That makes no sense. He came back and scored on the following drive. It's clear they are saying this to distance themselves from any possible concussion discussions. I would imagine if Brees got hit like that he'd do the same thing in the same stitution.

They told him to go down so Anderson could warm up.
He was obviously reaching for his eye the entire time.
