...is he rarely (if ever) dogs out his guys when they make a mistake. I see other QB's put their arms out like "WTF man?!" It annoys the shite of me. What good does it do other than letting every one know that it wasn't you who fricked up? It's weak sauce. QB's that do it *cough* Romo *cough* need to be kicked in the nutz by their own team.

Brees will often run up to the guy and pat em of the back as to say "We'll get it next time." I guess what I'm trying to say is I like his leadership.

You also forgot Peyton Manning, he doesn't hesitate to throw his team under the bus.

Manning's on-field demeanor pisses me off.

Thankfully for him that Cut That Meat commercial makes me laugh.

Brees needs to step up with some finger pointing.

Any of ya ever thought about Brees actually retiring?

I'm betting he is the type that knows when and how to go out. We can dream for the perfect Elway type exit.

I was thinking tho... when he does... man o man is that gonna be a slobberfest or what? For me Deuce stepping down was kinda sad. There have been a few other sports figures that could choke me up a little with their HOF speech as the years of memories welled up. But the Breesus! It will prolly be many a year before another hero like him comes to Nawlins. Damn, I can get choked up just thinking on it. Thing is, on that day, there will be some sadness. All the more though it will be happiness and gratitude for the joy he brought to this team, city, and area. I really do expect some more Lombardi Gras. Nothing though will ever replace that '09 year, the exhilaration at the NFCCG, and him hoisting the trophy in Miami.

blueslover.. that would be a sad day for sure when Brees decides to retire and enjoy life. So until that day comes many years from now lets not think about it. I got sad just now when you mentioned it

He's all class and so good on the field. You can't help but hope it will never end.

Good post. Brees is the epitomy of true class. He never calls attention to himself. Deflects praise onto the team. Never makes excuses. he is a true role model, strong in his faith without ever beating anyone over the head with it. I've never heard anyone speak ill of him. In this media-crazed sports-world will live in, that speaks volumes.

I really hope he calls New Orleans home after he hangs em up. He is as important to this city as anyone I can recall in my lifetime. A better ambassador we couldn't ask for.
