That dude was all over the field today. If he continues to improve at this rate, he can be Davis’ replacement for years to come.

While I agree he's fast and always at the play..
His size is an issue.

But, all he has to do is be there.. grab a shoe lace, and wait for a safety to knock someone out.

But he is very opportunistic. I like him

Demario Davis on Pete Werner last week: "He's the best Will in the league"

He’s getting better every week. Meanwhile we have no push from the DE’s.

I see.
Just read that.

On paper that sounds like a beast.
But im just watching game and it looks like he gets blasted on a hit, but doesn't let go.

Maybe he wears tiny pads.. ?

Like I said. He's in on every play. Love him.

That's how it looks to me too. DD seems to deliver the punishment. Werner absorbs it. Maybe technique.

Yeah I’ve been making this same post every week because when you watch this defense he is always on the screen. He’s really good in coverage too. Dude is going to be legit for us for a long time hopefully.

Pete has only been in an NFL training room for a year ... give him another year or two in the weight room and he will be at 255-260.

You can't teach his instincts.

Werner just seems to generate little power when engaging, both in taking on blocks and tackling.

He's a good ILB/WLB for playing next to a hoss like Davis, but I don't think he could play a central role

*ETA: don't take the above as criticisms. Werner has been legit great for us but we need to mold his role around his strengths

The only Dlinemen getting push is Onyemata and he’s double teamed every play. It’s infuriating especially against a TB line that was basically full of second stringers

Slo this was the only knock on Werner coming out and how we got him. He is light from the waste down so he doesn't generate great power to hit or hold up larger opponents.

But thats it for knocks Great get for us and is playing lights out so far.
