The Saints have had 3 owners now. If you have been a saints fan for over 35 years you know what bad ownership looks like and it is not like this. John W. Mecom was an awful owner. The team immediately improved under Benson.

For reference, the saints have a regular season winning percentage of 46.3% in 55 seasons and about 2/3 of this season, Bensons teams account for 70% of the games played 27 seasons plus 2/3 of this season and have a winning percentage of 53.2%. Mecom's teams were so bad that they pull down the overall team average to below 50%. 18 seasons from 67-84 the Saints won 30.1% of their games and had two non-losing seasons. Zero winning seasons.
