He ended up costing us a first, second, two thirds and a fourth to draft.

A mini Rickey Williams type deal.

Do you people realize what you're saying? I would say 3 picks in the top 2 rounds are much better than 4 or 5 in the top 4 rounds.

He just needs to be productive. Doesn’t have to be All Pro his rookie year.

Please please spell out where my facts are wrong. I’ll wait.
You should take your own advice.

Because he didn't cost us a first because we used a first this year to get him. those two cancel out.

So will we have our first next year or will the Eagles have it?
Look at my statement, what I said was correct. Still cost a first to draft him. 5 draft picks total to draft one player.

You’re wrong. It did not “cost” as in we are down a first round pick because we had ONE this year and used TWO.

That second first would’ve been our first next year. The net effect is the same, and if we are in the playoffs we come out ahead

You are wrong. So if we traded the rest of our draft this year 2nd, third, fourth, etc moved up into the first and drafted him, we’d still have our first next year and he would not have cost us a first.

Listen here brainlet. How does one player cost you two total in this scenario?

We drafted two players in the first round this year. It’s the same number of first round picks we would’ve had regardless

Brainlet? Where did I say he cost us two total firsts? I said he cost us a first. Five total picks to draft him.

That’s like saying any player cost us a draft pick. No fricking shite, what else are you going to do with a draft pick?

Don’t use the term “cost” when you’re looking for “used”. It implies you’re net negative in firsts for this scenario

So we would have had two firsts this year if we didn’t make the Eagles trade ‘costing’ us our first next year? Is that what you are saying?

I just spelled out the scenario earlier. If we traded our entire draft this year for Eagles #16 and kept next years first? Would Olave have cost us a first then?
Answer that.

He would have cost us 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th whatever but not a first.

You mean that wr that routinely gets 1,000+ yard 10 TD seasons?

First of all a first next year is worth much less than a first this year. Also, we got some other picks back from the Eagles.

I see Olave as the most certain WR in the entire draft. I don't see superstar in him, but I do see consistent, reliable, fundamentally sound. We won't be disappointed.
