It’s no way all of our OL just got terrible at the exact same time. Even Ramcyk looks average at best and McCoy subpar. Did we get a new OL coach this year?

It could be a 15 year old system trying to fit good players into it instead of a system that works for and around its good players.

the O-line has been a problem the last 2 seasons for different reasons but now that you see some of these higher draft picks playing together more and underperforming is just total crap.

I'm definitely worried, but it is still early with a new oline coach with a new left side. Hopefully we start seeing progress soon... our running game was looking better with outside runs before carr got hurt

Ramczyk has a degenerative knee condition.. he will only continue to decline

Carr is also holding the ball entirely too long

But worst of all is we aren't calling the one play we used to always use to slow down inside pressure -- RB screens

Maybe that will change with Kamara but Carr and Jameis both looked retarded trying to throw a simple screen yesterday

It's not as simple as it looks. Brees was a master at it.

Declining talent and overrated and over paid offensive lineman. Poor talent evaluation.

You mean a line where at times we are playing Peat, Penning, Young and Hurst.

Hurst has always been a serviceable backup. Young is a backup.

Some of it maybe. But Penning and Ruiz are getting routinely bullrushed. Seriously, Penning laces up his roller skates before he goes on the field. And his feet are incredibly slow but I think he's playing scared.

Silver lining is Penning’s pass blocking has improved every game. It’s mind boggling how bad the run blocking has been as that’s never been an issue for as long as I can remember

Yeah Penning had his best game at the worlds toughest sports position(maybe #1 CB) and they still looked bad. The long routes with no outlets that neither QB can seem to find is a issue as well.

I hope AK gets 30+ touches between runs and catches. What else?

It has SEEMED to me like Carr had been holding onto the ball for too long but I don't really know because I'm not watching film and can't see the play design.

Before he went out he did make like 4 passes out of the backfield to Tony Jones Jr. That kept a couple of drives alive. Might be a better option than keeping a back in to help block.

Having Kamara back will help.

I think we need to lean on the running plays that have been working for us and build some confidence back up. Also throw in some quick roll out passes. A 4 yard out to a tightend is a win for this offense. Just anything from keeping us going backwards.
