I always prefer scheduling a long distance road game after a bye. Nicely done

We need to clean up Wks 1-5 because the second half of the schedule is brutal

Why is the Saints playing the Giants on CBS sept 30?
Posted on 4/19/18 at 7:29 pm to El Campo Tiger

I am not scared of the second half of this schedule. If we don’t miss a beat from last year we can beat anyone. D should not have a crappy first 2 games.
Off season acquisitions filled holes and added depth.

4-1 or 5-0 going into the bye is important. But I feel confident with Philly, LA and Pitt all at home. Really it's just the last three weeks that is going to make me sweat.

I wanna say it started in 2015, but certain NFC games can be poached by CBS. Same for the AFC and Fox.
It has more to do with scheduling overload on one side Fox/CBS (AFC/NFC) than "games of intrigue."

I think for the Game of the Week games the networks aren't locked into the cbs/afc, fox/nfc thing anymore. This happened with a game last year (can't remember if it was one of ours).
Also, I'm surprised the Ravens game is getting a late start. Is that so if Brees finally beats them? Otherwise that one just seems odd.
4 3:00 games total is more than I expected, but seeing the Rams game in there makes sense.
I could see a couple of more getting flexed also (maybe even to SNF).
Edit:
Looking at it again, I don't think the Eagles game gets flexed because it's before two Thursday night games. That one stays at noon imo.
So unless the Bucs surprise us and play well I think just the Panthers game (and maybe Pitt to SNF) get flexed.

We also are playing the browns at home which would typically be on cbs (because they are the visiting team) but it is on fox. That is probably a trade off for the giants game.

That schedule is BRUtal!!
Holy shite.
Holy shite.

The first panthers game is on Monday night. Our 3 road games are Thursday 10 day break then Sunday then 8 day break then Monday. Not too bad. We get at least one extra day for each game.

Good call. Kind of overlooked that game.
On the one SNF thing, we have two TNF and 2 MNF games, and may end up with 3 SNF games when all is said and done. That's a shite ton of prime time (even not counting the two games that could be flexed).
Posted on 4/19/18 at 7:53 pm to bonethug0108
People are talking about wk 16 vs the Steelers possibly being flexed but in wk 15 the Steelers play the patriots at 4:15. If the Steelers get flexed to SNF that’s the one.
Edit: the wk 15 SNF is rams @ eagles. That might be a great a game. Meanwhile the wk 16 SNF is chiefs @ Seahawks lol

Yeah they were talking about teams with brutal stretches and taking dates into account our 3 road game stretch is MUCH easier than the Rams, who really have 2 3 road game stretches (they play a home game in Mexico).
I don't think the Rams even make the playoffs. 8 of the 12 teams that made it in 2016 didn't in 2017. Even if that drops to 4 of 12 the Rams seem primed to be that letdown team.
Imo they changed that roster too much trying to compete in the arms race.
