I think they knock the rust off and get it together .The running game should improve the offense. Wouldnt be shocked if we lose the divison and get the wildcard but end up the best team by seasons end. Kinda early for predictions though.

don't you know if you don't believe that the saints are undoubtedly the best team, regardless of any glaring weaknesses, you are a chicken little....

despite steadfastly holding serve that you think they will have a good season, and perhaps making the playoffs, still you are a chicken little....

to not be a chicken little, you have to 1.) follow blindly, the team in question, with clear disregard for any obvious points of contention, 2.) never question the coach/player/gameplan/performance/etc. 3.) always insist that your team is a lead pipe lock to win the Super Bowl every year, no matter what...

sorry, but if pointing out that we played like dogshit and voicing my prediction that, based on what i personally have observed so far, we will fall short of the ultimate goal, then, yes, i guess that makes me a chicken little....

i have no problem with the diehards, which is why i don't really understand the animosity displayed when i buck the trend and say that i think we have some fundamental problems and that we, from what i've seen, won't make it back to the top of the mountain... i know it's not gonna win me any popularity polls, but, correct me if i'm wrong, this board is for differing opinions, no?

i never totally shitted on the team.... not once.... go back and read it.... i agree we will have a "good" season... we aren't going to fall of the earth totally this season.... but as far as attaining the ultimate goal, from what has been put forth from this squad thus far, sorry but i can't put them in that game yet...

Every team has a glaring weakness. Hell, most players have a glaring weakness, you can run on All World Clay Mathews.

Playing like dogshit in a preseason game really isn't a big deal though. They played as vanilla as possible.

What you saw during the preseason. ITS THE frickING PRESEASON. Hell, I saw 3-5 Patriots make nice plays the other night, but you know what? They won't even MAKE THE TEAM. Yet they played almost the entire second half.

And you can tell this from preseason games. Nice.

and for those trying to place my statements at the totally opposite end of the spectrum, stop.... just stop....

never ONCE did, nor will i, say that the season's over, pack it up, and try again next season.... far from it....

what i have been saying is that from what i've seen THUS FAR (this can and probably will change, if they play better or worse, obviously) i do not feel that we, as currently constructed and performing, can or will win the Super Bowl, WHICH IS ALL I"M CONCERNED ABOUT.....

again, i'm not saying we are going 1-15 (or 2-14, b/c even last night we would beat Carolina twice).... hopefully, and FINALLY, this will clear up any confusion as to what i am trying to say....

and the Texans emptied their playbook? no.... i am not questioning the play calling/gamplan... i'm alot more concerned about the missed tackles (mainly from veterans)...

i agree, it's the preseason.... but we are doing the exact same thing as we did in the POSTSEASON (lynch's run) last year.... regardless of when they play like shite (preseason/reg. season/postseason/offseason/etc.), i will point it out.... i expect more from our starters.... the scrubs, meh... no big deal.... don't care... but when our starters are not doing the little things ONLY 2 weeks from the regular season, sorry, but it's a cause of concern to me.... obviously you do not feel the same way... it's all good.... i respect your point of view.... i fully expect the same respect be given to mine....

You're shitting a brick about something that can be easily cleaned up.

It's inexcusable to miss that many tackles, but again it will get cleaned up.

They just stunk in a preseason. Not a big deal, but you're making it a big deal. Chicken Little Homeboy.

really? missed tackles helped to end our season last year.... so why hasn't it been cleaned up yet????

like i said, going from last year to this year, and so far from i've seen, i don't feel like we have gotten better... on paper, yes.... we have a championship club on paper... but, so far, the results have been pretty lackluster, no?

again, i'm not trying to shite on the team.... i'm not saying the sky is falling, like so many are trying to say about me.... but i am saying that, so far, it looks like that, at best, we have stayed the same, and at worst, gotten worse, compared to the previous two seasons.....

we went 11-5 last yr and didnt struggling tackling. The seattle game was a debacle.

Last night there was poor tackling. The tackling was fine against the 49ers.

There's no indication that it will not get cleaned up. It has not been a consistent problem and larger sample shows seattle and last night to be the exception.

We stunk last night in a preseason game. This has no implication on the regular season, nor the march to the superbowl

We were battling for the #1 seed in NFC to the last week of the season.
