"Saints 'juss' need to go 'ott dare' and 'bussem in da mowt" - before the @ Atlanta game 2011

He overthrew him - "he ova- tdoom" (roll the "D" like the Cajuns do when they pronounce "thr"

"you caint turn da ball ova in dat situation"

And just to add to one already mentioned "da Adrian Petason's of da whirl"

All time best of Bobby was after we beat Minnesota in the NFC Championship. He was in rare form that night, he kept saying "ww goin to the fricken super bowl" and he was crying and shite. I swear to God I wish I lived 3 hours away from the Dome just to listen all night after games. He is unreal radio

I wish they'd let him call a game with Jim Henderson
Or better yet, be a tv commentator with Gruden and all for a Monday night Saints game.

Anyone that can answer 'no' and 'yeah' in the same sentence to the same question has communications skills that are simply on another level.

I guess I could have named the thread something other than ignorant. Don't get me wrong, to me this is like a Bobby appreciation thread. I love his sometimes ignorant comments. I'm from the same town he grew up in. I speak with the same flat accent and Cajun slang that he often uses(not nearly as noticeable though)
Bayou lafourche chapter of the who Dat nayshun

I know that you probably agree, but, I think we need to appreciate Bobby Hebert while we have him on the radio.

Doing a radio sports talk show every day for years is difficult in that it's really easy to be repetitive. Bobby talks mostly about Saints football, so, it's even more easy to be repetitive.

I was born and raised in NOLA and grew up around the NOLA accent. I've lived and worked in the north USA, Europe and Asia, and, I have learned to appreciate the NOLA accent and the Cajun accent . . . wait, maybe appreciate is too weak a word to use, because I love these accents, because they are part of me.

Agreed

I enjoy poking fun at the things Bobby says, but I even make fun of the Cajun slang things that I say on a daily basis.
I absolutely love listening to Bobby on 870, and would be sad if he ever quit or was fired.

"No Deke, Saints da nu greatest show on turf!!!!"

"No, it's all about wut have you done fa me lately!!!"

He also never goes a day without mentioning that the Saints have had the number one offense in the league 4 out of the last 6 years. He updates that stat every offseason and abuses it.

I don't know if it's ignorant, but Bobby must get a royalty every time he says, "Yeah, and you know, Deke, looking at..."

Bobby Hebert drinking game instructions:

Turn on pregame(2 hours before kickoff)

For every time Bobby says "no", take a shot

Try to watch kickoff if you don't have alcohol poisoning already
