would rather trade for allen robinson, if we can sign him to a reasonable deal (like sub-15mil)

Can Robinson make the brutal catches that Brees makesThomas catch? I’ve never known him to be this type.

Given MT13 is going to be out a few weeks, why shouldn’t we gamble with a trade?

B/c we would have to make cap room, & probably give up draft picks. This is just like last year when Brees got hurt. Defense & Special Teams needs to step up, & the offense can't make mistakes or give up turnovers. O-Line needs to carry us as well. Besides Green Bay...our upcoming schedule isn't that bad.

We need Mike Thomas for the 2nd half of the season & the playoffs. We can't win a SuperBowl without Thomas imo.

So you don’t think OBJ is worth a two 3rd or 4th round picks and a punter?

Not with his huge cap #. We might be able to make it work this year by giving up other players to create cap space & losing a nice draft pick. OBJ's cap # this year is 14.25 mil, so we would have to clear a decent amount of cap space. Our available cap space right now is basically $0.00.

No way can we afford him next year...

Mike Thomas 2021 cap # - 18.8 mil
Odell Beckham 2021 cap # - 15.75 mil
Emmanuel Sanders 2021 cap # - 10.0 mil

It's a risk & you can make the case that it is worth it. Personally, I just wouldn't do it. Thomas is still a very young guy, & should recover fine with rest. I'd do it if Thomas was out for the year though.

Bro our locker room is full of studs, who are great men… I don’t see how this is vastly overlooked in all the boards. Our locker room appears to be one of the strongest in the NFL and people buy into it. We have guys who do great things for the community, families, and the team. Half these guys do more volunteer work than anyone on this board.

I mean it’s an all in year obviously, so next year doesn’t exist right now. I don’t even care if it’s OBJ, but why not give it a try if the price is right.

I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just saying that I wouldn't do it.

So a former teir one WR you pass on? Even if the price is right? Especially with MT13 out?

1) doubt we can afford it
2) hes been at 2 places and shown the door...what makes you think itll be different here
3) see junior gallete

Because it’s not necessary and would greatly reduce our flexibility at other positions for this season. What if, God forbid, Lattimore goes down Monday night? Or Davis? Or Ram? We don’t want to be hamstrung and unable to address those positions. Like GMoney said, it’d be one thing if MT was out for the year, but right now, no need to bring in an OBJ.
