I'd rather Taco but it looks decent.

A one year wonder with good measurables over a guy that's consistently dominated In the SEC and broke Reggie White's sack record and not to mention gave Cam Robinson and Bama hell. FOH.

Another DT? I'd rather a TE or RB at 76 .

Yeah that's the only one that I don't like. If we took a RB, TE or WR there instead of a DT then that's probably my favorite draft in the last 5-7 years

So I guess Barnett should be first overall over Garrett then, right? Garrett had less sacks than Barnett.

Is Cam Robinson the benchmark? A lot of guys gave Robinson hell.

Don't care about stats.
I'd rather Taco. Barnett is better suited as a 3-4 OLB. He reminds me of Shaq Lawson.
JMO.

Stats don't mean shite when it comes to scouting players.

I will never understand this boards infatuation with Barnett. He is a poor mans Will Smith. Give me Taco all day long who just might become elite at getting after the QB

Not one offensive player. Payton will get one or 2 in this draft. There is no way we go all defense. We need it, but they will add something to the offense in the draft. RT, RB, WRS, QB, TE or sampin

Yeah we need another young guy at wr or maybe a second athletic te. Hard to rely on ginn to be the 3rd wr and returner at 32. Pretty much zero depth after him and no significant players at Rb after Ingram unless lasco proves to be trustworthy. I think if we get butler you'll see and early rd pick on offense.

Why you didn't post the record holder for all time sacks in a season for the SEC?

Yep. Unless they plan on moving Onyemata to DE...we really don't even have room for another DT.

Because the website goes back to 2005 Data for some reason

Stats don't mean shite when it comes to scouting players.
Derrick Thomas had 27 sacks for Alabama in 1988. I guess his stats didn't mean shite either. I mean he only went on to set the NFL record for sacks in a game with 7 (he should have had 8) & later on was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
quote:
7 Sacks by Thomas for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 11, 1990 - the NFL single-season record. An NFL player has recorded six sacks in a game three times, and Thomas has one of those, too, with six against the Oakland Raiders on Sept. 6, 1998.
quote:
27 Sacks by Thomas in 1988 - the SEC's single-season record, but not the NCAA single-season record, even though the NCAA single-season record is 24 by Terrell Suggs for Arizona State in 2002. Sacks did not become an official NCAA statistic until the 2000 season. However, most college conferences were keeping NFL-style defensive statistics such as sacks and tackles for loss by 1980, so many conferences have records in those defensive categories that are not NCAA-recognized. That's also why the NCAA career sack leader is Suggs, with 44 from 2000 through 2002, when Thomas had 52, and the NCAA single-season tackles for loss record is 32 by Western Michigan's Jason Babin in 2003, when Thomas has 39 in 1988.

Don't worry, I posted the record holder above. It's a record that will never be touched either.
