He hits him in the back. They fined him because it “looked” bad

I mean I hate some blown calls as much as the next guy but if you start penalizing these dudes heavily they’re just going to say frick this and go ref college and you’ll likely just get even shittier refs. They don’t make enough to be hang around and be fined. Also they didn’t call a penalty here. This is all the NFL and their after the fact bullshite.

I’ve always been of the thinking that they should have permanent full time refs and should be incorporating more tech into these calls…but that would make shite way more objective

I see your point but officiating have progressively gotten worse. It used to be a rigorous process and an honor to be selected as an NFL referee. And with DEI in everybody's business it's reached another level.

Roger the Clown is too stupid to do such a thing. And referees are perfect and do no wrong.

Being stupid is a requirement to be a referee.

I still laugh at the fact the Saints got punished for “bounties” when they were getting grossly penalized for late hits and unnecessary roughness on the field.

How can you fine the guy when there were no penalties called on the field.

100% bullshite. This is why the NFL has lost credibility with so many people.

They’re punishing the result and not the play. If Smith wasn’t injured they wouldn’t care about this hit at all. There was nothing dirty. The whistler wasn’t blown, and Smith was still refusing to go down.
