The NFL has confirmed that former Falcons player Phil McKinnely served as the down judge for the Saints-Falcons game. McKinnely spent five years with the Falcons, from 1976 through 1980. He played for the Bears in 1981 and the Rams in 1982.

The strangest aspect of the assignment is that McKinnely isn’t a member of the crew that worked the game. He’s the down judge on Bill Vinovich’s crew, but he was assigned to work on Clete Blakeman’s crew.

Makes me think the Saints are causing some real noise behind the scenes. No doubt that game was rigged.

So the guy on the sideline near the Falcons bench that didn't throw the flag on MT in the end zone, but threw the flag on Lattimore for the same play?

Also the guy that threw the holding flag on the screen AFTER the result of the play was determined to be incomplete?

Posting about it doesn’t mean anything. How about you and Lester not click on threads you have no interest in? Perhaps “get over it.”

Saints were 3-1 in previous games vs Atl that this guy officiated.

Thoughts on that?

He shouldn't have officiated any Atlanta games as an independence issue

According to this tweet the falcons are 5-3 in games he officiated I find it hard to believe the saints are 3-1 in games he does for us vs the falcons. Regardless he shouldn't be doing falcons games I don't care who they are playing.
