No i said it before that play, run a damn draw and make Atlanta burn their last timeout. Best case you score. Worst case you have 3rd and goal and a chance to win it on that play. Don’t get in then you go to OT. It just made way to much sense. And then to go after their best player on defense in the middle of the field to your TE who has a negative Athletic skill set. I have no fricking clue how in the NFL that ends up going down like that in that in that situation.

Ingram was SO damn open when he leaked out of the backfield. Flip it to him and it’s easily a first, if not a TD.

And?
You acted like they had a lot farther to go for the TD. They were on the 11 yard line. It wasn’t a long pass play. I didn’t have a problem with the call. They wanted to bleed clock, but scoring a TD should have been the primary goal.
That play was totally on Brees as it was an extremely bad throw. Jones made an incredible play, but it was still a horrible play.

No the primary goal was to protect the damn football and secure at least a tie. It’s one thing to be aggressive, it’s another thing to be agressive when you don’t have to be.
Then look fine if your going to try and win there I’m ok with it but you took the worst match up on the field in the middle of the field. It was a stupid play call and a stupid decision.
You picked the match up of Josh Hill vs their best player jones. How can you say you liked the call?

Need Seattle to win the West.
Saints are going to win the division. If Seattle wins the West, we'll be the 3 seed. Seattle more likely to win a road game in the division round than LA Rams.
Only way the Saints can host the NFC Championship Game, pretty much.

I don’t expect Brees to ever make such a stupid throw in that situation.

Bingo. I think that the loss of Kamara messed with their heads and they abandoned the run more than they had to. And the injuries the Saints suffered on D made Coach feel like they had to win it on that final series because the D wouldn't have held up in OT.
But you still run the ball on 1st down, on second down, and possibly even on 3rd as well. If you don't get the first or a TD you take the 3 points and see what develops from there. But you are still in it.

Jones had an illegal hit on Kamara that knocked him out of the game. Knew exactly what he was doing. Frick him. He's no LSU alum
He most definitely is an LSU alum and one hellava football player. And the hit on Kamara was perfectly legal. Some of you people need to stop drinking in the 3rd quarter. Sheesh
