Very good value signing. Cheap price for a back up.

What is good about it? If he cannot play, signing for cheap does not make it a good signing.

I remember his draft. Jon Gruden praised his intelligence of the game on QB Camp.

To me that has got to be the only reason he still has a job, like if he's a coach in the making. Maybe he's got the mind of a coach and will be one of those guys that will be a QB coach the very next year after he retires or something. Maybe he can help Carr and the WRs since he's got experience with both Carr and the new QB coach. But in now way do I think he should be signed to play at any given time. I would absolutely roll with Haener, no matter what Peterman's contract is

He won’t really be a QB, he’s basically assisting Carr and Haener

If Carr goes down, they need to start Haener to see what they have anyway. That way they can have a trade asset if he looks good

Do you purposely say everything wrong. Are you just a cleaning woman at TD posting as a side hustle?

Guarantee you this was Carr’s decision. He picked Haener last year, had Loomis actually discussing a trade for Hunter Renfrow. Carr runs this franchise

A Lucky Dog vendor would be cheap too and probably better.

No one with a football IQ over 50 refers to a 46 yard FG, not to mention an outdoors one, as a chip shot.

The average success rate was around 81% for fgs between 40-49 yds in 2023. Do you consider 81% a chip shot average? If not that's where we disagree.

So when do we sign Marcus Mariotta and Hunter Renfroe. Any other Raider rejects we can sign?

The success rate for 46 yard FGs in 2023 was 73.7%, quite a bit below the 81% you tried to deceptively use here by using the whole 40-49 yard range. 40 yard FGs had a success rate of 86.3%, so that's a big difference going back 6 yards from 40 to 46.
25 yard FGs (what most consider the long end of chip shot range) had a success rate of 98.6%. In no reasonable terms is a 46 yard FG considered a chip shot.

Camp body?

yes, that is all he is, insurance in case haener cant step up and be the #2

the only way he stays on the team is if haener proves to be a bust, he is just a camp body for spring training

No doubt we also take a flyer on some qb late in the draft or UDFA right after.
