My prediction: Saints will play hard and inspired Sunday but... (Shough related)

will still lose by 13. Rattler will play dink & dunk and look somewhat respectable on paper but will continue to miss open receivers.
At 0-4 and out of playoffs when does he insert Shough? I personally think its time at that point. Rattler has shown you who he is with an 0-10 record as a starter.

At that would be point, its more about when (in kellen's eyes) Shough is ready for on field success as a starter not necessarily when Rattler's has done enough to fail if that makes any sense.
If kellen deems shough is ready, then week 5 could be interesting.

the issue i have is that the Oline are all turnstiles, so what is the incentive to put a different QB in that will also have no time to do anything.
i am all for giving Shough his shot, but man any QB we put out will not have a good showing

I'm curious what everyone expectations are for Shough starting.
While I'm not a Rattler pumper, the Saints staring down an 0-4 start isn't all his fault and Shough is likely going to have the same problems to deal with.
Having said that I'm all for Shough starting when ever the staff feel like he's ready. They need to figure out in the next 14 games whether or not QB is a top priority next draft.

I wouldn't draft a QB next year. None of those guys are worthy. I'd just take BPA.

I would argue that at least Shough would be able to stretch the field a little bit more. We've got speed at WR to open things up more than what we've shown with Rattler. And I know people have said Rattler doesn't have a weak arm, but his frame really doesn't allow him to just spin the ball the way a guy like Shough can. Rattler needs great protection to really push the ball downfield whereas a guy like Shough can get it out quickly and still put a lot of velocity on the throw.
At the end of the day for me, Rattler just doesn't have enough size to be effective as a starting QB. I think he can be a solid number two QB and play in the NFL for a while with his athleticism and overall understanding of the position, but Shough has the higher upside by a lot and they need to see what they have with him before we just say screw it, we wasted a 2nd round pick without actually seeing what we had in him.
Of course, there also is the possibility that Shough just stinks and they don't want to play him because they know how bad it would be. I still think Shough should be starting week 5 against the Giants and should get the 1st team reps in practice next week to prepare.

Have you noticed the pressure he has been in all 9 of his starts yet he avoids the rush gets rid of the ball .Shuck would be sacked 7-10 times a game that is why he’s not playing the coaches know this.

Tyler and Spencer both have a birthday on Sunday vs the Bills.
