My outlook on watching the Saints (if they play)...

I’ve followed the Saints since day one. Was with my family in Tulane Stadium for the Gilliam return at age 11 and, except for school or work duties, have watched or listened to Saints games through the decades. It’s going to be a lot different this year with the COVID & BLM sagas as a backdrop but I guess it’s ingrained in my psyche. My enthusiasm level is probably at the lowest it’s been (which is saying a lot if you’re a lifelong fan), but I still can’t see myself not caring about the Saints. I’m going to try and disassociate from all the political bullshite and concentrate on players making plays. I just won’t be as emotionally invested as before in wins or losses.

TL/DR: Frick it...I’m in (somewhat)

You must be a grown arse man. Welcome to the party. After the year we've had, it'll be so damn good watching some football.

Hopefully. Seems like every day there’s more uncertainty than the previous day.

Congrats on being an adult. Don't let others opinions dictate what you're allowed to enjoy. You can respect the performance of an athlete, even if you don't respect their views.

My care for this country is much much greater than helping grown men make money so they can disrespect our country AND support communist organizations (BLM).
I'm done!
America is more important than a game.

Why are you still posting on this board so much then. Do you realize no one here cares about how much of a patriot you are. Just like we don’t care about the players political POV. No one cares about yours either lol

I am not enthused about the upcoming season but I can’t really predict whether I’ll be watching or not. Probably will, unless they start hunting season early.
Or, this political crap worsens. Worried more bout the college stuff.

He and his alters downvoted you. That’s proof that people do care!

People like him are just but hurt that so-called “Communists” are more likable and reasonable than a bunch of dogmatic “patriotic” bullies.

People like him think they’re “winning” because of TD downvotes or all the Trump flags they saw on boats at Lake Bumblefrick yesterday.

Anybody who “ just wants to enjoy football “ doesn’t understand the movement and is probably a racist in need of re-education. I will watch every second, but not for the football which is just exploitation of the black man, but for the chance to learn from our new Cultural teachers and Moral leaders.

Black lives matter !
Reparations!
Apologize for your whiteness !

All the people posting on this board about how they are boycotting the NFL reminds me of the Yelp episode of South Park where everyone thought they were the most important commenter in the world and needed to be heard.

But in reality, nobody really cared.

Sad that Black Lives are just sport props for you. Imagine the cultural arrogance of sitting in your comfortable white neighborhood watching courageous Black Lives play a game with a ball for your white entertainment. It shocks the conscience.

Does this mean one is not a mature adult if they decide that they will no longer support people who label them in the vilest of terms and support terrorism fomenting organizations?

Nah, watch whatever you want. If you’re too delicate to deal with a little pregame theatrics, then by all means, deprive yourself of sports.

Just quit coming to Saints Talk crying about it.

Pretty simple, but I bet I see both of you (ie- you and fat bastard/captain crazytown) here again.

Gluttons for punishment, I guess. Go touch some hot stoves and then blame the microwave while you’re at it
