This isn’t the NBA where one player can make you a contender for 15 years. Bad NFL teams are bad because they don’t try to win. Lions, Browns, Jets, Jaguars, etc. they stay bad because they are bad. Philly, Rams, Saints, San Fran, Green Bay, New England may have a bad year or two but always try to get better.

Think this a bit generalized. I’d much rather be the Jets or especially jaguars than the saints at this point. Hell the jags have made it just as far as the saints recently, bottomed out, and now have a franchise qb and excellent coach. Without CSP/Brees we don’t really belong in that second group yet as those years were the exception.

The current regime reminds me A LOT of the haslett years where we always thought we were better than we actually were.

The Jets are a competent QB away from being scary. They were scary last year with legitimate shite at QB and then Breece Hall getting hurt.

They have a great D and lots of offensive playmakers and a talented OL.

With carr, there's no guarantee they're better than dolphins and bills. Their path to playoffs is much tougher than the saints' with carr

If Carr doesn't come to NO cheap, just tells you that the relationship with DA wasn't as good as they made it out to be.

I agree, I thought he would have signed with the Saints by now if his relationship with Allen was as good as they say it was. Smh
