Either the author is inconsistent or there were multiple people who edited it. Think I'll throw a tidbit in there as well.
which is it really considered anyway?
The 2018 or 2019 NFC Championship game?

He is legally blind, and missed one of the most blatant defensive pass interference penalties of all time during the 2018 NFC championship game. Costing the New Orleans Saints a trip to Super Bowl 53. It has been suggested that he should not have any career that requires the use of vision and should be fired immediately.
In the 2019 NFC Championship, McKinnely swallowed his whistle, and had temporary paralysis subsequently. By the time he recovered, his former team was in the locker room celebrating an ill-begotten Super Bowl berth. In light of his efforts to help the Los Angeles (formerly in St. Louis after Los Angeles the first time) Rams win an undeserved NFC Championship, the team announced McKinnely would be added to their roster, making him eligible for cash bonuses and a new contract. McKinnely's efforts as a sideline official have far exceeded his contributions to Rams football as a player. Thus, McKinnely will be the first game official to be inducted into the Rams Ring of Honor during halftime of a game in the 2019 season - if he hasn't already been fired by the NFL.

Whoever it was needs to never call another game. There has to be consequences to doing your job badly. Can we sue the NFL for damages, lost wages??

McKinnley really did play for atl. He wasnt on the crew last night but he is the official that fricked us in the falcons game last year.
Yes, a former falcons player was officiating a falcons game against their biggest rival.
