So we have Kiper & wannabe Kiper mentioning Dart to the Saints. Gotcha.

And Chad Reuter of nfl.com with dart 7th to jets. That's 3 that do this for a living, like I said

Going off memory but didn't McShay say there was a good chance of him going 7th, and the only reason the Saints were brought up was because he was listing teams that may want a QB and even said if not NYJ & Saints, then possibly in the 20s to Pitt.

And this was all about a comparison to Nix, saying he was a 2nd rounder but Payton fell in love with him at 12. If Denver doesn't draft at 12, then Nix probably falls to the 2nd.

It's going to be hilarious watching the cameras focus on Dart while pick after pick gets announced. Year after year, a bunch of you take these mocks as gospel. You guys never learn.

25-30% to jets is what he said. Sure that's not that high, but it's not exactly some real longshot.

I feel pretty certain dart will be gone before we pick 40th. I would like to have him, but I'm also hesitant doing it at 9. If there's any position worth taking a chance at though, it's qb

That number sounds low, but when you are probably batting around 5-6 guys going there; that number actually sounds pretty high in my mind.

If he's this year's Nix where someone falls in love with him, I could see him going top 10 to grab him. Other than that, I think the favorites would have to be Pitt at 21; or you have to jump back in to the top 20 to get ahead of Pitt.

If NO wanted to trade with Denver, it would probably cost them their 2nd & late 3rd

Wouldn’t mind Ewers in the 3rd

But we got bigger problems we have to get addressed first

People get infatuated every draft. They read what they want to read or hear what they want to hear. Dart feels like Kenny Pickett all over again from 2022 draft. Hyped to possibly go in the top 10 yet falls to the Steelers at pick 20.

Instead of studying the history of past drafts & seeing how things worked out in similar situations in the past, they rather go off biased mocks to where some of the reasoning of a player selection at a certain spot makes no sense whatsoever.

The day Kiper released his latest mock he was NFL Live that day & said he put Dart to the Saints because of a gut feeling. He then proceeded to get mad with Field Yates because Yates made a comment about Kiper's comparison of Dart to Will Levis. Yates said Levis has not played up to where he was drafted so Kiper snapped back saying it was all the Titans fault for Levis' struggles.

Also, never forget.

I love when people bring Clausen up to Mel. He gets so rattled. I wonder if Mel is ready to call it, or if he still wants Clausen to get those last 2 years

Saints will draft the Miami TE. If Ward slips, Saints will go get him.

I would fully expect the staff and scouts to be doing their homework on every respectable qb in this draft. It doesn’t mean that we’re trading up for them or drafting them. Glad they’re doing their due diligence but, the saints are trading up to the 1st pick for Ward nor are they taking dart at 9. We need a franchise qb and they’re looking for one. We meet and have dinner with a lot of prospects we don’t draft.

Nice try, but you need to practice your gaslighting a little more. Nobody in this thread is predicting the Saints are going to draft Dart. Some may want them to draft him, and it's not an unreasonable thing to consider as a possibility as multiple NFL reporters/analysts have suggested Dart could be a top 10 pick, possibly to the Saints. I don't think it's likely, but you never know if a coach is going to fall in love with a player. Calm down.

Nobody is gas lighting anything.

Saying Dart will be waiting until the end of the first round to hear his name called has nothing to do with any talk of the Saints possibly drafting him. It has to do with suddenly this discussion of Dart being worth a top 10 pick when he isn't worth going there.

Ahh, yes because those guys are always correct. Fans just eat up whatever BS someone with a suit & tie says simply because they are viewed as an expert. Yet when it comes to Dart, where were the splash plays that made you say WOW? How about great performances on the biggest stages? Or numerous awards for his outstanding play? Why not breakdown the offensive system/scheme Dart played in? How often did he benefit from busted coverages or tired defenders because Ole Miss went so much uptempo?

In the 1986 Draft, it was supposed to be a battle of Elway & Marino for the #1 pick. Marino fell to pick 27. Aaron Rodgers was viewed right there with Alex Smith in the 2005 draft yet Rodgers fell to 24th. Dart's current situation is very similar to 2022 Kenny Pickett who didn't go top 10 & landed at 20th.

possibly to the Saints.

Which would be a stupid move for an organization with many holes to fill as is.
