"Mickey, what's your feelings on the gas prices and how it relates to you eavesdropping?"
Posted on 4/26/12 at 3:47 pm to quail man
It'd be fricking awesome if at the end he said alright thanks guys that'll be all. And he half walks off an then leans back to the mic and says "oh and we signed Brees to the highest contract in NFL history. Peace." :walksoff:

I didn't want to start a new thread so I'll ask the question here. While Loomis is suspended, will he be allowed to talk to Payton (football talk included) without having to report it to the league office and whatnot?

"Mickey!! How does the Secret Service prostitution scandal affect Brees' contract and have the Police contacted you for a statment in the Prostitution scandal?"

When asked who will coach team first 6 weeks, he said something about finding someone on staff in camp to fill in those first 8 weeks, then corrected and said " sorry, 6 weeks, I'm 8 weeks" hahahaha

So a woman asked the first honest question about the draft and the best question so far. The world is upside down right now.

That's why I wasn't sure about starting a new thread. It seems like everything has been asked regarding the bounty fiasco. Maybe I finally found an original question

Recap:
He's thankful for everyone in the front office for standing behind him, he misses Payton, bounty penalties are what they are and the Saints are moving forward. Loomis supports player safety. Saints will be a better team going forward.
Loomis never listened to another team, never even asked to do it, never even inquired if it was possible. Never even knew about it being possible at not only the Superdome but any stadium.
Brees deal will get done, he has incredible respect for Brees and his family, wants a deal that Brees respects. Drew has earned the right to negotiate this contract. Loomis considers Drew and his family close friends of his.
Loomis angry about wiretapping allegations. Everyone has agreed with him that it just didn't happen, and backed up his claim that he didn't wiretap. Will pursue all legal options.
Not having Payton has affected Loomis more on a personal level than in the Draft decisions. Dont expect the decisions to be any different really than other years. Not considering possible player suspensions entering the draft. Will draft as they usually do. But 2/3 of the players on their 3rd round board are defensive players.
Loomis, doesn't matter if I agree with NFL's ruling, but they have made their decision and their findings. Just have to move forward and deal with it.
Knows character of the team and says it sucks the image has been sullied, since the players and coaches are all great people. Loomis believes the team is still stable. Ownership, GM, and number of coaches are all still there. Payton is missing, but have a good team, great players and leadership, and have won a ton of games over the past few years. The free agents we signed don't see the Saints as an unstable organization, but a very strong championship caliber team.
Penalties and Payton's absence will give the players a focus. Will play for pride of Payton, and continue playing as they have under Payton, not changing their ways at all.
For the first 6 games they will appoint a head coach while Vitt is gone only after training camp after the "right" person reveals themself. Vitt considered best option going forward, couldn't really get the Parcells thing done since he took himself out of the running, but would have been a great option.

No kidding, I think we all can speak for the majority of the WHO DAT Nation by saying we need something positive. This man took us from being a dumpster fire of an organization and brought in the right man and the right players for us to become ELITE!
