What’s the name of the former DB who got screwed over by our medical staff ~10 years ago? He used to post here every now and then.

Is he insinuating that the medical staff wouldn't let him play when he wanted to?

None of the star players seek medical advice from the team doctors anyway. Not sure what the argument is here

Player they don't like said something negative about the team and did not follow what they believe should have been done; as a result, player is wrong/trash/wants out...
Reality it, both can be correct. MT can be done with the team and is collecting checks until he's a FA, and the medical team can be absolute trash. As others have already pointed out, when you consider the huge number of injuries that appear to longer the past few years there has to be a root cause. Also, the team has a history of misdiagnosing injuries. Delvin Breaux, Keenan Lewis and Shockey have all discussed this after leaving the team. Those were several years ago, and that medical team is most likely gone, but then you see the mishandling of Winston's back and kept help but wonder.
There were rumors that Payton would keep pressure on the medical staff to get guys back sooner. If true, how much of that culture remains which would then force guys like MT to seek outside consultation for every injury.
Finally, none of these disputes or defends the way MT has handled his injuries, rehab, lack of communication with the team, or desire to play.

There’s a handful of orthopedic surgeons that every star in the NFL goes to when injured and they aren’t on the saints staff. Blaming the medical staff is just stupid. Everyone has the same protocols for when to come back from said injury.

As always, this board is fricking retarded. The Saints medical staff is garbage and it's evidenced by their history of mis-diagnosing players. Delvin Breaux anyone?
