McCaffrey vs Kamara Stats

Pretty remarkable where these two guys sit statistically at this point in their respective careers. Both drafted in 2017.
Current career stats from scrimmage:
Kamara
1690 touches, 9436 yards, 74 TDs
McCaffrey
1636 touches, 9426 yards, 73 TDs
It is a shame these two great players, both in the same conference for several years, never really developed a rivalry.
Have to tip your cap to McCaffrey for the season he is having to catch up to Kamara in career yards and TDs.

Would be cool to see them both get 12,000 total APY and 100+ TD’s. Should make them both HOF’ers as well.

CMC has more touches/game. It's not that hard dude...

The crazy thing about the stats is McCaffery had like a 95% usage rate in his prime and Kamara was like 50%. If Kamara got the usage that he got in his prime, his numbers would be crazy.

That’s correct. The panthers used to force feed him the ball.

Well I think this shows thqt when he was with the Panthers he was the focus of the offense.
They took him with the 8th overall pick for a RB.
I also think we have seen that the SF offense and everything that with it with Purdy is not crap without Debo Samuels there to take some of the focus off of everyone else.
Debo and McCaffery got hurt in the same game and they lost. McCaffery came back and Debo has not and they have lost the next two games.
So three in a row without Debo.

I think they will both get there on yards absent a season ending injury. Especially with how each guy can gives team fairly easy yards underneath in the passing game.
TDs I’m not so sure. If saints can right their OL and keep Kamara for another 2 years I think he will get there. The taysom hill package has no doubt taken a lot of TDs off the board for Kamara.

Its a faulty comparison
CMC would have a LOT more touches/yards if the games played was even
They’re ‘even’ statistically because Kamara has played 10 more games

Its crazy how similar the numbers are
Rushing
CMC - 4.6 YPC, 47 rushing TDs
Kamara - 4.5 YPC, 51 rushing TDs
Receiving
CMC - 8.5 AVG, 26 TDs
Kamara - 8.5 AVG, 23 TDs

It really is.
CMC does have 2 passing TDs on Kamara.
But Kamara does have a return TD to his name.

Wonder how big of a factor the lack of rivalry is because of injury history. Being in the same division for ~6 years, yet they only went "head-to-head" 8 times. And a few of those, one of them had less than 10 touches

That draft class was stacked with RB’s.
Fournette, McCaffery, Dalvin Cook, Kamara, etc.

Oh boy. I’d argue, but I don’t think you’ll get it.

Yes, because 20 touches per game is so little. Sounds like he can't handle an absurd workload without getting hurt, much like Kamara for a few years.

It really was. Aaron Jones, Joe Mixon and Kareem Hunt make a pretty great etc category
