Is he 6'5? I thought he was 6'3. Either way, you're right. 6'5 230lbs is definitely NOT slow for someone that size. We do need an inevitable Colston replacement and POSSIBLY Jimmy Graham. Looking at immediate needs though, I think deep threat is a bigger one unless you think Brees has no arm anymore. I think you could kinda make an argument Brees is losing a lot of deep throw accuracy every year. So, I could definitely see why the FO would go after a guy like Benjamin. Not the sexiest pick but it makes sense.

Body catcher
Tell me more, Mel Kiper.
Looks like he uses his frame pretty well and can get up and snag a ball over DBs
Outrunning/physically dominating?
4.6 at 6'5" 240... That's not slow. A big bodied WR like Anquan Boldin ran a 4.7 but at -4" and -20lbs. He has an excellent career using his side to his advantage and has been a great RZ target.
Any WR we take has negatives. I'll trust the Organizations decision if they think KB is the best fit for this team

He's 6'5 and 240lbs. Big time match up nightmare, he absolutely destroyed UF's secondary.

When it comes to offensive players, I trust Sean's evaluation.

Exactly. He's not my favorite because of weight/questionable work ethic issues but if we did pick him if be excited about his potential, especially in our system.

Every gif you showed was a ball that is impossibly caught by his body and probably his only 8. Curl routes slants as well as deep comebacks are all for the most part caught with his body which is incredibly frustrating for a 6'5 WR. Also your gifs are classic mistake of watching someone's highlight tape to decide if you should draft them or not.

right after we lost to Seattle, everyone seemed like they were all hell bent on us getting bigger WR's because Seattle had bigger, physical corners.
Benjamin could be effective because of his size but I'd like a more complementary WR to Colston and Jimmy.
another knock posters on this board had on our WR's last year was that they weren't getting separation. Benjamin doesn't strike me as a guy who excel at this. (Amateur opinion)
but if we pick him... God Bless the young man and welcome aboard.

Mayocks whole mock is just trying to stir the pot and get last minute page views.

Mayock has lost his mind. I use to really like what he did but he is worse than Mel now.

Our fans can talk ourselves into anyone after the pick has been made. The only pick i can think of that was hated by almost everyone was vacarro. And by the next day, everyone had posted sunshine articles to make themselves feel better
BUT THE SUNSHINE WAS REAL!

No and no.
Nothing in there is how it went down. I was there. I was sober. I remember.

I like Benjamin, but think we can trade out of 27 and into the early 2nd round to get him. If we go either Latimer or Benjamin with the 1st pick, I hope it's at a later draft position.

Well he fits the mold of WR the Saints usually draft in the 1st round.
Since Payton has been here we've drafted 1 in the 1st round and he was 6'2 215 and ran a 4.3
He fits the mold of WR's we draft in the 7th round.

He's a long strider. His 40 isn't super fast but he proved he can run by people. 18PYC and 15 TDs

He did catch the game winning TD in the NCG. Didn't put up huge stats but that other WR was open on every play for that game.

I hope in this scenario that about 7 other WRs are already taken. Otherwise frick Mayock.
On second thought just frick Mayock period.

Yeah Benjamin and Lee are about the only 2 receivers I absolutely do not want through the first 3 rounds.
This - I watched Lee's profile on ESPN last night.
His personality seems meh and doesn't strike me as a hard worker. Probably been coddled playing at Hollywood USC the last 3 years.
Benjamin has possible red flag personality issues as well.
I'd rather Jordan Matthews as a much safer pick.
