The AK41 extension should make it clear. If you wanted to do a true tear down and rebuild he was one of the only big contracts you could have gotten off the books. As long as Loomis is here, this franchise is doomed.

yeah i was just thinking about that. he stuck us with carr and now this. he shoulda been traded for picks.

In case anyone thought there was even the slightest chance of Allen being fired this week, this is the Saints tweet this morning:

I actually some what agree. This team needs 2-3 years of tanking and clearing cap space if we really want to start fresh. Dennis allen needs to go but there’s not another coach who can turn this shitcan around in 1 off-season.

I just think you end up with a bad candidate making the move this season.

That's why you have to end up hiring a placeholder until an elite option emerges. The Texans did this TWICE until they got Ryans.

It's unlikely we will get one of the top guys given our shitty situation and roster constraints on a new regime.

As long as Loomis is here the cap’s not getting cleaned up. He has operated the same way from day 1. The can will always get kicked. The AK41 extension should make it clear.

His arrogance has gotten really insane and the AK extension may be worse than the Carr signing.

Loomis is the guy who understands the basic concepts of "if you make good decisions over the long run, you'll succeed, even if you experience some initial negative variance". However, he's far too arrogant to understand he's making bad decisions far more often than good ones, and our shitty run is not negative variance but the results you'd expect from his bad decisions.

I'm with you. What coach would want to come to a team in cap hell and bad contracts? Clean it up and start fresh. Allen shouldn't have any say over personnel decisions. Lame duck coach! No one respects him in the locker room after what they did in the last game of the year and how he apologized for it.

It’s best to just fire DA, hire Aaron Glenn to be your fall guy the next two years and then go get your coach after that.

prolly so. we just need a dummy placeholder while we tank and trade players for picks and clear cap space.

issue is will mickey admit he screwed up and go along with that? if he is untouchable you'd think he could talk gayle into a major rebuild. this shite shoulda been started the second brees retired. can we trust mickey in the draft?

if mickey is safe why is he not doing this properly? why is he trying to be a contender when he knows he is not? he is acting like he is scared of getting fired. i saw that when he signed carr.

lots of questions need to be answered by the ownership and FO.

His Carr restructure and AK extension will be hard to explain.

Fire DA , Mickey and Whoever else is in the Dumpster Fire Front Office..

A Start Fresh is needed, Because there's Not one thing Fresh and New about Holding on to this Train Wreak Called the Saints Front Office!!

It will be next to impossible to sell any part of it to Season Ticket holders in 2025.
