What the hell... Crazy that he's the one we cut, not that he's been contributing much this season. It just doesn't make sense. Maybe he's struggling with Ryan's defense? Not only is is surprising that it's him getting cut, but someone at a position we're already really thin at.

is he on short term IR?
Yes. The initial rehab had him returning at seasons end/playoffs.

Do you think the real reason is Victor Butler maybe coming back sooner than we think
That seems like a real possibility given the lack of depth at the position.

Vilma was on IR with ability to return (you can only use it on one player IIRC). Butler is on PUP, so he's going to be placed on IR or taking up a roster spot in week 7.b

i thought you have a 5 week window to activate a player, 21 days after he starts practicing

Or he was with sonic sam...

To me it is obvious that we are looking to trade Griffin.
Yall need to calm the frick down, we all wanted Tez to do awesome things but what has he done? Not a damn thing. The people making these moves know way more than any of us and they are in the position they are in for a reason. We have no reason to doubt them.

Baffling
How? He's in year 3 and hasn't done much and has obviously fallen out of favor since he's barely playing these days.

Yeah, all he did was hit the qb or force a quick throw every time he was in the game. Guy sucked.

Because our staff before this year has proven to be amazing at making decisions about defensive players?
At least we still have Harper and Vilma. Who needs a young pass rusher who has proven in the limited snaps he has been given that he can consistently get to the qb? Keep the old slow guys who can't play anymore.

I'm a little shocked but if you really think about it, who else do you cut? Most of our roster contributes. I would rather spend spots on guys who contribute somewhat rather than guys who don't contribute at all but have "potential." I wish him the best elsewhere.
On the other hand, glad we managed to keep RG4. I'm pretty sure CSP and Loomis think he's our future guy.
Eta; if we have to make any more space for Vilma or Butler, cutting anybody except Ingram is ridiculous.

Didn't Butler have a full acl tear?
6 months is insanely optimistic.

Maybe we given rams Luke ever thought
Posted on 10/22/13 at 6:31 pm to goatmilker
I can see us giving the browns Luke and Ingram plus a second for josh Gordan and a browns fourth. Or the rams for a second or even the bears for something

Never said he sucked dick wad. He didn't ever fit in any of the 3 systems we have had here since he arrived. He has been healthy the last 2 games but was healthy scratch. Don't you think there is a reason for that?
Hes been here for 3 years and has a total of 5 sacks and 33 tackles. Come on man.

You just proved your stupidity with this statement.

That makes too much sense

Luke and Ingram
Never thought about them trading Luke and keeping Griffin but that makes total sense. Good thought!
With all the QB injuries across the league Im telling you guys there is a trade coming one way or the other. Something to help us in the future. And then all of the people crying will be stroking Loomis off once again. As they should.
