Those stats don't mean much when he gets contacted before or at the line of scrimmage.

What does it say about the turf monster that always seems to get him?

Rantards will be here shortly to say he needs to be traded

I don’t think you understand. Since 2015 he has averaged 4.9 YPC with 3.0 of those yards coming after contact.

I love it. Ingram has always been good.
First couple of years he was sort of pigeon holed as the goal line back.
Then he had some dings.
But for past 4 years he has been great. And in past two years he made it a full 16 games and SP has figured out how many touches he can handle without breaking down.
Only knock on Ingram is durability. He couldnt handle a bell cows touches and not break down.
But we have fricking AK to pair with him - shite yeah.

After contract can be quite arbitrary. His running style lends itself to being touched a lot. As can be said about the other RBs on the list.
That being said, he is a solid RB.

Oh it’s even dumber than that Tiger... they’ll say he sucks and we should trade him, but not for anything less than a second rounder

ST told me that he goes down after being breathed on.

Not trashing MI anymore.

MI will go down as the best back in Saints history, at least statistically. Haters can suck it.

No he won’t...Kamara will...suck it.

He's been great these past two seasons, but it's a lie that he's "always been good".
I was his biggest fan when he was drafted at a time when drafting RBs in the 1st round was becoming unwise, much less to trade up for one. I thought he was gonna be the next Emmitt Smith.
But initially, he was, at best, mediocre in the NFL. Then after multiple years of mediocrity, dings and untimely fumbles, I actually started to hate him.
However four years ago, he started to finally show what he was capable of, but still he would flash then disappear. One game he'd have 175 yds against a poor defense, the next, he'd have 31 yds against a top 5 defense. He was consistently inconsistent.
Then the last two years, the light went on and he put it all together becoming one of the most consistent and productive all-around backs. He's once again become one of my favorite Saints.

At least you admit that he’s solid. Proud of you Earl

Cant blame ingram for poor usage by SP for two years.
Ask AP how it felt to play that power RB role in this offense. IMO Coach SP can telegraph that shite like hell when he mixes the wrong group together. SP was smart to ditch it and play Kamara/Ingram as a duo - they can both run routes and our plays arent telegraphed by the defense by our RB. Last year teams were guessing when we were running or passing and it was beautiful.

He changed his running style for sure. He was afraid of contact early on. Now he runs like he did in college
