re: Mark Ingram for MVP??

I'm really not making an argument either way. You aren't finding an ingram on the streets, you aren't finding a kamara on the streets. It's a futile argument. Ingram's game is just not a between the tackles guy, he's excelled at the pass game as well, we've just switched a bigger load to kamara since he's here but ingram is a great screen talent as well.

It’s easier to find someone to run between the tackles then it is to find a Kamara. This is a fact but I’m not surprised to find you here arguing this. Our seasons done if we lose Kamara. We march on through an Ingram injury
So we're just ignoring his pass blocking ability and his own contributions receiving?

He’s not even the MVP on the team much less the league. Hell, he may not be the best RB on the team. That’s debatable.

Yeah apparently this doesn't matter i dont think there is a better pass blocking back in the league.

Mascona has not watched a Saints game when he thought he was glad to have Mark Ingram.
Scone Man has been a fricking hack regarding Ingram.

I just wish some Saints would admit that he has matured into a very good back with a very good attitude.
He leads that RB group by example and experience he shares.
Selfless player.

I'm not sure I follow. Blitz pick ups and being an above average receiver are pointless? We would be the same on offense if we had Kamara and Peterson?

No way. Are you kidding me? We’d be MUCH better.

He's just an average receiving back. All he does is catch little swing passes. Im not hating on him but he isn't running long routes like Kamara is.
Ingram and Kamara are both playing great. Kamara is more valuable though and its not arguable. He is not replaceable.

Completely disagree Ingram fills the role Pierre Thomas did and does it better. Admittedly he didn't at first. He doesn't just catch swing passes either. He runs the screen just as good as Kamara, and is a good check down receiver after staying in to chip block
Kamara is the better reciever admittedly but Ingram isn't in there too run routes hes in there for extra protection on long passes. Kamara can't come close to Ingrams blocking ability.
We've had a bunch of decent backs come through that they tried to plug in that role when Ingram was taking time to develop (which took longer than we would habe wanted i know) Ivory, Peterson, Robinson, Bell, when the dust settled you still had Ingram. Now he's developed into one of the best backs in the league, and you and other Saints fans want to shite on him because of the shiny new toy in Kamara. Kiss my black and gold penis

I made this topic on Sunday and have been saying it as much as possible. The fact that he's not in the discussion is asinine. Guy is having a killer year for a RB. If he gets to 1500 yds and 15 TDs, he has a real good shot.

Ingram is better than Pierre?
no no no no no no
He's an ok screen back, certainly not Pierre. Im not saying he has bad hands or anything, but he isn't asked to do much in the passing game. He catches little dump offs and swing passes and that is it. A lot of guys can do that.

the dust settled on Ingram because they had the most invested in him. That simple. Im not shitting on him, im simply saying Kamara is more valuable and irreplaceable. Im not saying Ingram is a bum.
I'd have no qualms about signing Khiry Robinson off the street granted he is healthy to come in and take on Ingram's role if something were to happen to him.
Let me put it this way, which backfield would you rather have?
Ingram + Travaris Cadet
or
Tim Hightower + Alvin Kamara
even though Cadet is on a team, this is the type of bum that you try to replace Kamara with in the passing game. Or chances of winning anything are DONE if Kamara goes down, given our lack of a 2nd true option at WR. Kamara has alleviated the need for that, and without him that is going to be magnified tenfold.

Kamara has gained either a first down or a touchdown on 40.3 percent of his rush attempts, the best rate among running backs by a significant margin.

Neither of them will receive a single vote for MVP. The last 3 RBs to win it had monster record breaking numbers.

Thank goodness you are'nt an nfl GM. You keep shooting this line we can sign anyone off the street. But the fact is this organization could have done that 4 years ago but chose to resign Ingram. So obviously he fits a role on this offense no one of the street can.
You are wrong so just sit their and be wrong in your wrongness.
The fact you used travaris cadet in your replacement scenerio speaks volumes. You are purposely using a shittier player to make your argument work. You know who else was a free agent last year that had a similar skill set. Jamal Charles and Danny Woodhead. Both tons better than Cadet yet it wouldn't make your argument as pretty
You sir are a disingenuous hack

Or using examples that actually played for the Saints
We can sign Tim Hightower off the street tomorrow & get a sufficient 4.0 ypc.
We can’t sign a guy that can convert 40% of his touches into first downs or touch downs

Let’s see, what guy is gonna last, the UDFA or the guy they traded a 1st & 2nd round pick for, well yea, no duh you moron

lester quit clowning around if you aren't going to bring up down usage into the first down equation.
