I’ll ask again, how much playing time would Branch have realistically seen behind our top 3 CBs?
And are you really pumping him for a drop that basically fell in his lap?

He covered the slot in college and played safety. Like I said in the draft thread, he could have done the same for us. Played some slot nickel and then take over one of the safety spots from Honey Badger next year…..

Lots of us said the same when he was available. I get de/dt are sexy picks, but you gotta be realistic. Maye and tm are old. They need to be replaced in the next 2 years, why not get a guy who can learn

Yea it’s crazy that we went from two young homegrown safeties with Williams and Bell to where we are now.

In other words, if you are going to compare Foskey & Branch it would be best to do so after next year since that is most likely when Branch would make the most impact on the Saints defense. And anything Foskey can do this year would be a bonus?
