Just flipping around and every time I see Fournette touch the ball he is getting blown up almost immediately.

Running backs, esp those with an injury history, are consumables.

That's professional football 101.

I'm actually shocked you only got 8 upvotes, this board is generally much less bright than that.

You’re dumb. RB is one of the positions of least need with Kamara as a clear no.1 and Murray being a decent backup.

9 upvotes 8 downvoted for saying he’s a below average RB

It’s the truth lmao. He’s been terrible. 3.7 YPC. 9 carries for -3 yards so far in this one, good lord...

And the o line excuse. Guess what, he isn’t the only RB that deals with o line problems. In fact there are lines worse than Jax. Arizona, Miami, Cincy, Houston to name a few.

How is he a bum? His offensive line is missing blocks every single play. He’s hit immediately in the backfield. He would thrive in the saints offense, so yes I would love to have him

...because he went to LSU. Fixed the rest of your sentence for you.

Had he gone to literally any other school you wouldn’t even care.

That’s simply not true

They also literally just got through saying how he has faced the most stacked boxes in all of football since entering the league.

Dude come on. I went to LSU and cheered on Fournette, but he’s been a dud in the pros. Hopefully he’ll get another chance with a team with a better line but the reality is he looks very slow and bored on the field.

It’s clear to me that he has not had a real chance in college or pros. Literally what do you want the guy to do when he is being hit immediately upon receiving the ball. His offensive coordinator also makes it so fricking obvious when it’s a run. There is zero creativity in this offense, it’s a joke.

He did pretty well in college. Good enough to be drafted #4 overall.

Problem is he can’t run over people in the pros like he could in high school and college.

Cool, he still has been terrible. Even his rookie year when they were slinging it around at a decent rate he was below 4 YPC. He had accumulated volume stats because of touches.

But we can play the 8 men in the box scenario, too:

So far this season Kamara has faced 8 in the box on 23% of his snaps and averaged 5 YPC. Fournette has had this 21.62% of his snaps and is at 3 YPC.

Dalvin Cook 29.27% with 6 YPC
Mark Ingram 29.63% with 5.7 YPC

Last season Chubb ran against 8 men front 34.38% if the time, which is slightly less than Fournette at 35.34%. Chubb averaged 5.2 YPC while Fournette once again with an atrocious 3.3 YPC.

Others within 5% of this

Royce Freeman 36.15% (2nd highest % of 8 men front, 1st was Blount), had an average of 4 YPC
Derrick Henry 4.9
Mark Ingram 4.7

Yeah. You totally won because he finally had a run more than negative yards.

Guess the o line isn’t an excuse anymore.

69 yard run to bring his yards for the game to 66

Dominant performance for sure

After the run he’s averaging 4.2 yards per carry on the season. Good job dumbass - your post lasted all of two minutes before the balloon popped.

Kamara has brees

Cook has a threat with cousins, theilen , and diggs

Most all backs have great rushing numbers with an elite rushing QB. Lots of movement you choose Ingram or Jackson.

The browns had a good offense last year. Chubb isn’t with them anymore and guess what he averages what Fournette does now.

I don’t like Fournette much in the pros either but the truth is the offense is terrible around him.. He needs to play with a better QB, doesn’t have to be elite but a threat.

A full season with Foles in a rhythm could have been it.
