Real saints fun. frick off. You’re not the arbiter of who is and is not a fan.

If you are here to celebrate the end of Brees’s career and the Saint’s loss today then yes- I can objectively state that you are not a Saints fan. But then again, I wouldn’t expect you or the many others here throwing shite to understand reason or fact.

Yeah I'm not talking about politics. The people trying to bring up politics are acting like emotional middle school girls

I agree, but Drew brought politics in it. Screw him. That picture of him with that POS Jacob Blake's name on his helmet did him in.

Lots of the people were huge Saints fans. The difference is they don’t care to be shot on by the athletes of the team they support. Thus, their fandom does not go to a point of self insult and self deprecation.

It’s a sport played by grown men. They are not leaders, heroes, and clearly should not be looked at as role models. Real heroes go out there every day as teachers, doctors, nurses, police, firefighters. Most get paid garbage wages/salaries and actually impact people’s lives unlike athletes that like to believe they do.

All that said, Brees was a great player that cared about his records. It’s the only reason he came back. Trust me. There is nothing wrong with that, but he proved who he really was this season and lost support. So be it.

Fair enough. You bring a reasonable, level headed response to the thread and I think it is a respectable opinion. The thing here is that I don’t think that Brees shite on you, me, or anyone else. He didn’t kneel for the anthem. He didn’t apologize for his opinion that people shouldn’t kneel for the anthem. What he apologized for was that his opinion hurt a lot of people that he cared about. There is a huge difference in opinion on what kneeling for the anthem means. For some it means disrespect to the flag and to the troops. I personally know several veterans that do not feel that way. I don’t look up or down to athletes for their political opinions just as I do not look at actors/actresses or musicians. If so I wouldn’t enjoy a single Robert DiNiero film. Was the decision to put Jacob Blake’s name on his helmet a poor one? Sure. It was. But for some of the self-righteous and sanctimonious assholes here to suggest what Brees should have done when they weren’t in the same situation as he was or had anything to lose is ridiculous. The man gave his all and was he ever perfect? No he wasn’t. But if you are a fan of the organization and a fan of football, then I think it is pretty shitty to make a judgement and condemn him based on what you think is right or wrong without considering what he has done or stood for throughout his career. But-to each’s own. Good luck pulling for ANY team in ANY sport that has not exposed the SJW mantras. If you hold true to that then you won’t have shite for sports to watch.
