As usual the son of a bitch being selfish cost us in the end.

I would take no joy from a title won with Brady replacing Brees. I’m genuinely more happy with a Perfect Sweep NFC South title.

As we all know, Brady’s first choice was the Saints. I would always take a healthy Brees over any other QB just because of what Brees has done for the saints. That being said, after watching how good Brady looked this year and Brees consistently getting hurt it is somewhat painful. I will never bash Brees but his body just couldn’t hold up these last two years. Had Brees retired last year we most likely are the team hoisting the Lombardi.

On to a new era now..

When you consider the off-season and the beating his image took from both his supporters and his detractors and combine it with his on-field performance, the decision to come back was historically devastating to his legacy.

Frankly, embarrassing doesn’t cut it.

Brees was hurt twice in the last two seasons.

I agree 100%. It’s like Bellichek made the decision to get rid of one of the most prolific QB in nfl history with no problems, who did not have the obvious injuries that Drew had, but Shawn could not knowing the physical damage that Drew was dealing with. I realize that’s not an easy decision based on what Drew had accomplished for the Saints.

I won’t go that far, but it wouldn’t have been the same as winning with Brees

No, it’s true. LINK

Had Drew Brees retired after last season, as the Saints believed he might, New Orleans' backup plan was to sign Tom Brady -- and he was interested in going there, league sources told ESPN.

Meh. NFL would never rigg the game for the Saints like that, even if we had Brady.
