Mccluster will never put on weight like Reggie did... He will retire before Reggie does

It's okay to be a 8 year old who sneaked some time in on daddy's computer.

Holy shite, I completely misread that, I thought it said Reggie has never played against elite talent

put me on record for mccluster not amounting to much in the NFL.

Problem with McCluster is that he has an Ole Myth attitude. Besides, he only weighs 145 with a haircut!
Regarding Bush, he is a star player, but he's not really a RB. But when you need a "flier" to go 5 yards in the air and put the ball over the goal line marker, nobody is better. Losing Reggie would hurt the Saints. Yeah, we can win games without him, but he made a big contribution in the playoffs. We need to keep him.

reggie is about to break out. I would hate to see him go to another team and shine.

Dexter Mc Cluster to fill the same role as Reggie. I'd be happy with this move.
Keep O in tact as much as possible and add a few d pieces. Why tinker with greatness on O?

you are going to have to make some hard decisions. Evans is going to want(and deserves) a huge deal. Drew needs a new deal soon. etc etc
Reggie's 8 million next year will make him the highest paid RB in the NFL(barring someone else getting a new deal) Should he really be paid that way?

so sign him to a new and longer deal.

If Bush is willing to restructure his contract, that would be great and would show he's more of a team player than I believe him to be. At his current pay and what we'd owe him, he simply has not been worth the money as an every down player, although he has had a (very) few exciting plays in the last 4 years--simply not enough.
However, if he doesn't want to redo his contract, I'd like to see us trade him to the Denver Broncos for Elvis Dumervil, a pass-rushing specialist DE/OLB who had 17 sacks in 15 games, leading the league. The Saints have not had a pass rushing presence this good since the days of Pat Swilling and Ricky Jackson. The move would be a good one on several fronts:
1. Bush would be in a higher profile market which might just suit his ego better.
2. The Broncos have been looking for a high profile running back ever since Terrell Davis retired.
3. Kyle Orton needs help from a running game.
4. The Saints have several good (not great) running backs who have been able to support a fair running game.
5. The trade would benefit both teams where they need it most-Denver on offense, and New Orleans on defense.
6. The Saints could get a great defensive player and could still use their 1st round pick to draft defense or elsewhere to shore up depth.
7. Bush would be playing in the AFC, where we wouldn't have to play against him on a regular basis.
Makes sense to me......

He only would fit in a 3-4 system. He is too small to play as a 4-3 DE.

Is he going to take a pay cut? Cause even if you give him the new deal you are essentially just delaying the inevitable. Also, to take a new deal and not get the 8 million next year he is going to want that that money guaranteed then. Guaranteed money in the NFL is never a good thing.
Reggie Bush is the most expensive expendable part of the offense. If he takes a pay cut fine, but in order to keep the essential parts of the offense together, Drew, Evans, Nicks, Colston, getting rid of Bush is the easiest way to do so.

He couldn't be any worse at DE than Charles Grant..........
