Dude everyone thought they knew what they was talking about last year and melted during the draft(the haters that’s not even considering listening to any logic about this pick), while he wouldn’t be my first choice at 27 but I also wouldn’t be upset with the pick, I trust the front office with whoever they go with

Too many red flags to think this kid will be something in the NFL. Would not be a fan of taking him with a 1st round draft choice especially in a year where the Saints are contenders. We don't have a second round draft pick and I think we need to go after players who can potentially have an impact this year. I would hope for the results of last year ,but honestly that was an insane rookie class and may end up being historic.

Name the QBs that have scored a 13 or below. Surprise me because I have no idea.

I just looked it up. Not many on the list I found. Jeff George was the only listed at 13 or under that has/had significant nfl playing time.

We're so close to a Super Bowl, you shouldn't be thinking about how to improve the team five years from now.

The #27 pick might just be the missing piece. You have to be all in for the 2018 season.

Blaine Gabbert must be the greatest!
Jackson's success will depend upon the system. The same holds true for the vast majority of starting NFL quarterbacks. I probably can name five that are not dependent on the offensive system. Drew and Brady are products of a system

We need Tom Brady longevity. Jackson wont bring that to the table. Once his wheels go, he wont have nothing to offer as the years go by.

I couldnt. I do know Marino scored a 16. Lamar Jackson is not the next Dan Marino.

So the bar for QBs we draft is 17 year starter?

Look at the correlation of the test to successful QBs in the NFL. Also, listen to him talk. Louisville shortened to calls to 3-4 words for him. He would pass out when one of Payton's play calls came in.

At Louisville he had to be ready now. He has two years to learn that in New Orleans

You cannot pass up a contributor for the final Superbowl run with Brees

You absolutely can.

The Saints last year were good enough to win the super bowl.

All you people talking about "We need contributors now" will be the same ones whining and moaning about the organization not drafting for the future when Brees eventually leaves.

Is Lamar Jackson that guy? I don't think so, but it wouldn't be a bad move to get a QB at 27 if you think he is your guy.

The biggest negative to his game is inaccuracy. Why would ANYONE want an inaccurate QB? You don't get points for almost completing passes and I doubt Payton is overly eager to transition from a guy who is the most accurate passer in NFL history to a guy who struggles in that dept. Want a "running QB"? Draft a running back and stick him at QB.

I DO NOT want a running QB! Give me a pass pocket accurate leader any day over the likes of an RGIII type.

Quick thinking has a lot to do with playing quarterback.
