Miserable = being honest about a very clear WR2 who wouldn’t carry a passing offense.

Man, I fricking love Saints Talk. You’re either in lockstep with the echo chamber of fake positivity or you’re miserable.

no. Miserable = saying this after a guy's rookie season and pretty much writing him off before the season starts. he looked great with bad QBs

You’re actually rooting for the saints to suck

This board was better when I didn’t know you existed

Of course he is. Someone that cares enough to join a team's message board, but then cares more about being right than his team winning is a strange individual. Most likely just a low self esteem

They don't need Hunt, really, they are fine with Williams and the rook Kendre Miller til Kamara comes back. It's just 3 games, I mean really this is just unnecessary and kinda like hittin the panic button a lil.

Wrong.

Why do you think they even hosted him today?

They aren't trying to waste time.

Honestly I think our offense just looks...cockamamie. Just a collection of mid players and Alvin Kamara.

You got down votes to high heaven, but this statement 100% describes the saints offense in 2021-2022. Other than Kamara - particularly in 2021 - there was nothing else to threaten defenses.

So what is different about this year?

Olave, Shaheed and Johnson hopefully all take big steps forward, particularly Olave becoming a true game changer. Even with that, Michael Thomas has to return to some kind of form.

Williams and Miller hopefully provide real depth and versatility in the RB room. It’s shameful we’ve back up Kamara the last two years with a combination of Murray, Ingram and Hill.

Nope. I'm realistic about how mid the team and staff is. You guys are talking winning the NFC South like it's doing something but it's very likely being the tallest midget.

Being the tallest midget still gets me a seat in the dome for a home playoff game. It’s been a minute since that has happened. I miss that energy.

LINK...Looks like we're going to have to pony up a little money to get him. Shouldn't be too much though.

Report: Kareem Hunt seeking more than a minimum deal, may not make quick decision

Here’s an update on the New Orleans Saints’ Monday visit with free agent running back Kareem Hunt, with NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reporting that Hunt isn’t looking to settle for a veteran minimum contract. He’s coming off a two-year, $12 million deal with the Cleveland Browns and is hoping for an offer that exceeds the $1.08 million base salary he qualifies for as a sixth-year pro.

“Kareem Hunt has been biding his time waiting for the right opportunity, still wants to make a little bit of money so I don’t get the sense he’s gonna get a minimum deal,” Rapoport shared. “That visit starts tonight, may not get some news today on that. But New Orleans does have a bit of a need there.”

Rapoport added that the Saints already had a need for another running back after news broke of Alvin Kamara’s three-game suspension to start the season, only for that priority to rise higher once Kamara’s backup Eno Benjamin suffered a season-ending Achilles injury.

Hunt still shouldn’t break the bank, and the Saints have ample resources to allocate for him with about $12.9 million in salary cap space per Over The Cap records. If New Orleans can reach an agreement with the one-time NFL rushing leader, he would make a lot of sense in their backfield with Jamaal Williams and Kendre Miller.

I am sure there were conversations before he visited. I am sure we already know what he is looking for.

Who is beating their chest that the Saints are Super Bowl team? Who is doing that?

The overwhelming consensus is that this should be a solid, good team that wins a weak NFC South and if everything breaks right could make a run in a weak NFC.

Apparently THAT amount of optimism is too much for your negative arse
