If you're going out might as well go out with a bang. Poliboard has become the race board lately...

Good gracious...
There is no way in hell I'm going over there. It was bad enough BEFORE the Obama election, and I predicted that it would descend into that, if what you say is true.

after finding out just how anti-LSU you are I could care less if you are banned or not...good riddance

After reading your foolish posts on the Tulane board, you should just do us all a favor and leave.

Well, at times I've thought you were a dick, but I honestly get where that anger is coming from. If LSU sunk as far as Tulane has, I'd probably flip my shite to. Just lay low for a while.

Well I was banned from YOGWF for simply defending my alma mater and state from the wildly fabricated and bizarre stereotypes that these Tulane people from Scarsdale and Uppington-Smythe and East Brusnwick spew out - people who chose to attend college in my city and state, but Chip and Holly will high-tail it out as soon as they cop their diploma in their hot little inheritance pinkies. (Yes, I am aware I am stereotyping also.)
I said not one syllable about their beloved New Jersey University @ New Orleans Greenbacks. In fact, I was complimented by many of the olive bretheren for being open-minded and civil and knowledgable about the Olive and Blue (which I am.) Too bad when I tried to impart that same same knowledge about Louisiana State, they balked like scared little schoolgirls; and I mentioned NOTHING about TU.
As soon as I disagreed with some of their totally prepsosterous rantings (talk about your "cesspool"), I was summarily banished from their eloquent little soiree; not even given a chance to refute their safe, daydreaming fantasies that they have about Louisiana and her flagship institution.
They had not a clue that the Louisiana Purchase was responsible for the expansion of this nation.
-That the Port of N.O., in addition to
being one of the largest and busiest on the globe, also allows the Midwest and some of the Northeast to eat, buy clothes, and buy any number of goods at affordable rates.
-That Louisiana supplies oil, gas, sugar, coffee, rice, and many other commodities to the rest of the nation.
-That Acadians didn't evolve from swamps underneath southern Louisiana and who don't currently live in shanties under moss trees with alligators as pets. That actually were well-to-do French who built and set up their own communities and governments in Nova Scotia and other areas, but were tortured, killed, and banished by the Redcoats, and who ventured all over, but many in southern Louisiana.
- That Louisiana, especially Lafayette, BR, and NO, has a large per capita percentage of millionaires.
- That Edwin Edwards is not still the Governor.
- That 99.9 percent of the violent crime in New Orleans is in the inner city crack house and project areas.
- That the entire metro N.O. area is 1.2 million people, not JUST the 300,000 that live in the city limits.
- That LSU is a Tier 1 public university that is a land, sea, and space grant insitution, has one of the finest Academic Centers for Athletes (and all students for that matter), has increased admission standards yearly (something Greenies crow about incessantly and ad nauseum), has top twenty programs in numerous fields and disciplines (Petroleum Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Hurricane Engineering, Entrepeurial Studies, Internal Auditing, Geophysics, Landscape Architecture, etc.
I could go on and on, but that is just a small sampling of their avowed and indifferent ignorance.
BTW, I was a big Tulane fan in the early 70's (even though I was already an LSU tot); but soon experienced and understood the disollusionment, disappointment, distaste, and disgust that goes hand in hand with trying to communicate with "SOME" Greenbacks in identifying oneself as an LSU Tiger. It was monumentally frstrating.
I have mild interest in Tulane baseball because I like theer stadium, and I occasionally meet friends on campus for events, but I am nowhere near the interested little supporter I was from '69 to '72 while still in elementary school.
That being said, Roll Green Wave.

The guy is angry because his program is struggling, and it lost the best thing it had going for it.

No, that's not it at all. Nice try, though.

Whatever it is, I really don't think it has much to do with anything in the world of sports. Even Sophie has just said so himself.
