They can definitely have a conditional 6th for him. We'd be crazy to not offer him.

That's fine. I answered the question in the OP. I, Spelt it rong, think that we should go get Josh Gordon. He's a monster athlete, has chosen to be in rehab for a full 120 days or whatever which shows he is trying to get better. A conditional 6th? Count me the frick in.

Then a conditional 6th should make it easy for us to get him.

Why you aren’t a front office NFL guy. The downside would be the potential issues within the lockeroom which in case you don’t realize plays a big part in the makeup of every team. If the front office felt they had enough veteran talent then may be worth the risk. A young lockeroom would be at risk with this guys drama

I have a feeling if he was any sort of problem he would get the boot. His issues were off the field but not really being disruptive in the locker room.

I would give a 6th rounder for him. This kid has demons but he was special. He could have been the best receiver in the game if he kept it together. I'd take the risk for a 6th.

Absofrickinglutely.

One of the best WRs in the game. He's young and he will be cheap.

Are you really nitpicking a 14 game, 1600 yard season with Jason Campbell, Brandon Weeden and Brian Hoyer as his QBs?

Really?

He still made some plays. I even called it an elite season.

But yes I did say he was being force feed the ball and a 55% catch rate on 160 targets is not really a good thing. Never said it was his fault, just that he was being forced the ball so yes he was going to get a ton of yards.

My bigger complaints (because that was just a nitpick) were that it was his ONLY season with that type of production, he hasn't played in 2 years, and last time he did he clearly gave a frick about weed way more than football or money which shows terrible judgement if he really wants to make football his career.

If he had Ricky Williams' track record of success instead of just one good year and one amazing year then I'd say yeah maybe we look at him. But he doesn't. He isn't going to be in game shape. He won't know the offense.

He's physically gifted but that's about all he is. We don't need that kind of problem on the team.

No... Regardless of views on the league substance abuse policy it is in place and he can't follow it. It is the same song and dance and if he is too stupid to put the weed down when he has to than he is not worth the headache.

That's what teams do with great receivers.

Blame the dogshit QBs.

What would it hurt to sign him for the remainder of the year and see how he acts? If he doesn't keep his shite together, let him go. If he does keep his shite together, sign him for next year. Then the Saints would have a young top 8ish WR on the cheap.
