Didn't Joe Horn also bang pro-bowler teammates' wives?

Look, many people are pissed at Horn for either playing for the Falcounts or some of the things he said. While Joe Horn was a Saint, he was one of the few guys during that time who left everything on the field for the team including playing hurt.

I don't care one single bit that he went to the Falcons. I really don't. I care about the fact that he was an attention whore and a locker room distraction. He was bad for team chemistry, he alienated the coaching staff and the team plays BETTER without him. I don't give him extra credit for playing hurt or "leaving it all out on the field". Professional athletes are supposed to do that shite. It's their job.

He was an arse on the field and off. That's why I dislike the man.

Horn complained pretty vocally about Payton's first training camp, and SP saw him as a cancer. He also trashed the city, organization, and team when it became clear he wasn't in the long-term plans. He also signed with our biggest rival the next year.

But now he's remorseful. So that makes it all ok.

It's rumor and hearsay, but it's the kind of low-brow, self serving garbage that JH perpetuated. It would not shock me in the least if he did.

People defending Joe Horn as a player to be cherished like Deuce and Archie are slack jawed freaks.

He signed a pretty decent deal with Atlanta and they cut him after one year because no one could stand his arse

That's not entirely true. He was brought in because they were implementing Petrinos pass happy offense. He was nagged by a hamstring issue and wasn't as productive as they needed him to be. With the coaching change, they went for younger talent.

But I'm sure that you didn't hear any complaints from the Falcons who stayed.

You're just dying to have somebody ask you what you know, aren't you?

If you have some info, spill. Otherwise, STFU w/ all the cryptic "I'm-in-the-know" BS.

I just remember Joe being the team leader and the only one showing emotion and working his arse off when Brooks was throwing backwards passes and Deuce was in plain clothes.

I don't know why people blow Deuce, he wasn't that special at all....mediocre at best, Horn was a top 5 WR in his prime (4-5 years)

OK, I'm not going to rip on Joe. But this statement makes you sound like you just don't know what you're talking about.

#1 as far as the Saints franchise goes.

I've read enough BS from idiots on this board to know that even with the most well known people on the inside giving you information, it's dismissed as hearsay. I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. You think I was born yesterday? Think again.

You want info? ask for the p.m. and I'll let you know. Otherwise, it's not getting posted on a public forum, and I'll be damned if it's going to happen on anything but an encrypted server.

Sorry for the defensive reply, but there are people on this board that know what I'm talking about and some that don't. There's nothing like being there and having real life experience, and people choose to either believe your word or not.

You don't have to and I don't ask you to. I'm telling you, to the best of my experience with him, that he's exactly what was epitomized earlier....an arse on and off the field.

Jesus. Emotion? Is that what you call it when a player throws a fit in front of news cameras calling out his QB and Coaches for not getting him the ball? He was NEVER a leader on this team, ever. And JH wasn't the only Saints WR having to deal with Brooks awful arse. But the other players (for the most part) did not act like idiots, JH did.

Deuce was as valuable or more than JH when they were in their prime. Short yardage, play action, max protect are all things a RB has to do. RB's take a shite ton more punishment and therefore, Deuce was hurt much more often. Even when he was playing, he was never TRULY 100% healthy. He did not make excuses, he did not complain, he did not call out the coaches or trainers, he did not cause problems. He went to work, did his job and ended up a Saints legend on AND OFF the field. Joe Horn isn't worthy to wash Deuces jock.
