This might be the worst rule in football.
39 fricking yards?!

Would complain if we were on offense?

Every DB would tackle a WR after getting beat for a 15 yard penalty.
Hell, we just did it to prevent a TD.

Agreed. Change it College. 15 yards.

Spot foul is fairer. I wish the college game would adopt it.

Max yardage of 25 yards. Also make Defensive holding not an automatic first

Then stay with the WR and defend the pass instead of getting beat.

If you’re close enough to tackle the WR you aren’t really beat...

I would rather it be 15 yards, but that play was literally why the current rule is in place.
That dude would have scored

And it saved us 4 points.

He was beat and the WR was clearly going to score. He clearly did interfered against the rules to prevent that score. Which he successfully did. I don't see why the penalty given is egregious then.

Even with it being a spot foul a good smart play by Crawley that gave D a chance to hold them to 3.

Jesus would probably rather get rid of the idol, I mean sport, all together.
