Let's say he throws 30 TD 10 INT and Saints lose in Conference Championship.

Do we give him a long term deal?

Absolutely.

1. If we dont someone would. Wouldnt expect to get him on discount his whole career.

2. No one else that can give you that kind of production would be available.

My whole point of the thread is, sure he a had great season but is he worth a big contract and maybe 5 years worth of play.

Remember the guy is only 27 too.

…. Say he throws 350yds 4td and 0int in that conference championship. But defense gives up 500 total yards and we lose. Quit with the “ifs” and let the damn season play out. Next question please….

You have to.

No good picks plus QB who can win you enough games to get a solid shot at a title. There is no other option.

So he has a great season.
What if he has a so so season and he and defense still gets us to the SB?
What if he is #1 rated QB but loses in 1st round?
What if he is having a perfect season but gets hurt last game after going 16 0?
Just a few to ponder

If he isn’t the damn main reason we lose the “conference championship” like you’re insinuating then yes silly. You asked a broad question basically insinuating he’d be the reason we lose that conference championship.

People change. And I’m confident he’s changed based on a couple of different things.

He’s gotten married and he’s been a tremendous teammate in New Orleans the last 2 years.

And if you watch his interviews, it’s clear he has matured a lot. It’s easy enough to fake 1 interview. It’s not easy to fake 200 of them and 2 entire years of on and off the field behavior.

I don’t expect any funny business from JW moving forward to be completely honest.

What if has a perfect season, wins every game, Super Bowl champs. Then at the post game interview grabs a hidden zipper, pulls off the Jameis suit and it's Drew Brees on stilts?

Any sane gm would but you're asking in the wrong spot. The vast majority of this board wouldn't sign him for the league minimum if he threw for 6000 yards, 50 touchdowns and 10 picks because they can't stand having crablegs "black quaterback " to lead the saints.

Give the dude a chance, if he doesn't lose games , give him a chance

If he throws 30 touchdowns in the conference championship and the Saints lose everyone on the defensive side should be cut

No. What DA needs to do is flip him. Got that cheap contract.

Trade him for some picks.
Or a real franchise QB. Not a molesting crab stealing QB.
