He's not really a bust, he got cut for smoking the ganjee, couldn't leave it alone like Josh Gordon. I thought Collins played well for them down the stretch last season.

Chemistry on Payton’s teams has been crucial. Maybe Saints are better off without him, sorry

This is the thing that the average fan doesn’t understand. Sticking a good statistical player in an open spot doesn’t always translate to success on the field. So much of having a good secondary comes down to communication and experience as a unit. This guy may be a better physically than Harris, but he’d be starting out on the ground floor with a new unit and he clearly has some intangibles that the Falcons didn’t like. Why take the risk?

Fair enough. Everyone is better than Harris. However, Moore > Collins by a mile

Like someone said earlier, Collins hasn’t played at all this year....

Collins was actually the Falcons best corner last year, I can recall him playing a part two game changing turnovers against us in each game.
quote:

CB Jalen Collins‘ career year earned an overall PFF grade of 81.5 to lead the Falcons cornerbacks and rank 22nd in the NFL. Collins’ grade more than doubled in quality from his rookie year (40.6 overall) and he was named the second-most improved second-year player by PFF.
quote:

Collins took over for Desmond Trufant, the Falcons’ best returning cornerback, in week 10 due to a season ending shoulder injury and went on to lead Atlanta’s secondary in passer rating allowed when lined up at right cornerback with a mark of 74.1 (minimum 20 snaps).

Always thought Collins was one of our weakest DBs at LSU

He wasn't weak at LSU, but I agree that he was very overrated. I always liked Mills better.
