It was a good 15 year run for a terrible franchise

The Saints winning a Super Bowl was pretty improbable

No Payton, No Brees

Bring on the paper bags and the TV blackouts

We are entering a dark age where La’Destroya reigns supreme, no coach can take FA’s to dinner because of Covid passports and internment camps.

Draftees who aren’t vaccinated are barred from the training facility

Their families, outcasts in a city overlooked by none other than

It symbolizes taking the power away from Whitey and giving it back to the African people of NOLA

I am 54 years old. I remember when the Saints having a .500 season was a joy in 1980 iirc.

Saints have been to three NFC championship games plus a SB44 champion under Payton and Brees. Heck of a run.

I fear that the Saints organization are going to become the new Detroit Lions without decent leadership now.

The next three seasons will likely be turbulent without a proven coach and no elite QB.

How likely was this Saints team making a serious championship run next season anyway ?

The Saints front office is pretty good .Loomis and Ireland as well as Lauscha are very highly respected....and effective. Loomis and Lauscha have been in place for over a decade

Not far fetched, but they do have salary cap issues. I mean they almost made the playoffs and almost won the division even though the backup QB went 0-5, their best WR decided to sit out all year, and almost everyone got injured. I wonder what might have happened if Jamis didn't get hurt.

The defense is ready to make a run in the playoffs. They just need Michael Thomas to get off his arse and get some decent QB play. But that may all be up in smoke now.

I’ve always had to be a Saints fan. I always will. I can’t deal with us losing year in and year out again. The first 40 years I watched hardened me to love/hate them. I don’t know if I have another 40 years of heartache left in me. Please get us a real coach, a real O line, and a real WR or TE, and a real QB.

The Saints haven’t been a terrible franchise since Benson bought the team. The worst stretch was the mid late 90s with 6 straight losing seasons at the end of the Mora era and Ditka. Even Haslett only had 1 losing season 7-9 before the Katrina year.
