It really feels like our season will hinge on the trenches

It's so strange that we've invested so much in our OL and DL and yet so many questions remain. Can Breese step up and be the GUY in the middle? Can Cam Jordan bring one more consistent season? What about Foskey? Can he take the job and give some consistency opposite Cam?

And all of this is before we talk about the OL. So much potential to be an elite unit. But could also be a hindrance. Ruiz played better last year but he's still not great. Can he take another step up? Maybe Saldiveri overtakes him but what do we do if and when Peat gets hurt again? Will Saldiveri even be a valuable 6th man? Hurst was meh at best last year. Penning showed flashes but he's still raw AND he's coming off surgery. Ram and McCoy are solid but there are three huge question marks on the OL.

The defense, for the most part, will do what it does and be solid. The offense, under Carr, will be better but probably not elite. But there's talent there with Moreau, MT13, Olave, Shaheed, AK, Kendre Miller, Jamaal Williams, Juwan Johnson, Taysom. But it feels like the offense will be capped unless the OL shows itself to be better than last year. Same with the DL. If the DL is better than last year, the defense can be truly elite.
