I'm surprised Payton has him still in the game. Although, he is running the ball more often than passing.

He needs 402 to break it next week, but just 318 to go over 5,000.

He'd be the 2nd man to ever get 5,000. Still would be an impressive year.

Well, we ain't in the playoffs so he might as well worry about his own personal records now. This year might be his only shot to break it. So I say you might as well go for it. Set the tone early by throwing the bomb to Devery on the first play of the game.
