If Watson truly was going to Atlanta and he “chose them” what is stopping him?

Makes you wonder what really is going behind the scenes. If Watson supposedly loves Atlanta and wants to be there then he should have been already traded there.

He meets with them last out of the teams too. If he was so interested why did he not meet with them first and get this thing rolling?

Very weird situation IMO.

Nope. They agreed to terms prior to letting them meet.

He wants to come here bc of the great situation/team/chance to win.

But. He has been in hiding for a year and probably struggling with a ton of BS. So coming home and being surrounded by the most supporting people and city is a huge draw.

If Pitts is part of the trade then the Falcons have nothing.

If he chooses Atlanta, and Davenport and cam don't plant his 5-6 times this year, I'm gonna be really disappointed.

Failcons ain’t ready to win now and if they give away 3 1st and players for Watson, that guts their team for next 3-4 yrs and who does he throw too, Ridley suspended and Gage signed with Bucs but oh well if he wants to be at home fine but if he wants to win a Ship, Who Dats are the only option

If you want to get real conspiracy theory: it could be that dragging it out screws the saints chances of signing Winston, waiting on Armistead and possibly screwing the line up. Restructuring tons of contracts to make room for him and screwing future caps. .. making one less division rival

It's head vs heart.

Grew up in atl.

Knows the saints are the better org. Better roster. Best chance to win a ring.

You saying they agreed to terms with all 4 teams on each trade before they let him meet with any of the teams?

Atlanta has 50 million dollar cap hit with Ryan if they let him go.

Supposedly yes. Basically all 4 teams had to agree to at least 3 first rounders and a couple players beforehand.

I'm sure things can change but each team had to be comfortable with 5 or 6 assets with 3being first rounders.
