If Mariotta is drafted 2 by Titans, do saints try and trade for Mettenburger

I like Mett, but he fits a ground n pound team with a great O-Line. He's a statue. Without an O-Line he will get double of what Brees got this year and probably wouldn't finish the season.

Well, I'm not a fortune teller, but he had a strong rookie campaign until he got hurt. It's way to early to tell whether or not he'll be any good.
That said, NO. He'd get killed with our o-line.

It's not like Mett hasn't looked decent at the pro level. This board doednt have to be 100% anti LSU players. Mett has potential, and could defjnitelt learn under Brees. But that would make building the O line even more important.

Agreed. His preseason numbers were very good. I'm not saying crown him for preseason performance, but still, he has NFL talent. I still don't think we trade for him, though. TN got a steal that late in the draft to get him.

I would take him in a trade fir a small price. Low risk big reward potential. At the worst he will be a good career backup and future trade potential

Yes. If we could get him cheap like the Titans did. He could sit behind Drew and learn.
OP, you won't get a real answer here. Most of these people were against drafting Hill or Beckham because they played for LSU.
