I'm thinking Coleman would be the better value pick in the 2nd than Benjamin. I could never jump on the mike Evans hype. Did not stand out to me.

While I agree with a lot of that Blues...
He was playing on an inferior Vandy team in the SEC, and was the only offensive threat for them. Teams sold out to stop him.
And still had a difficult time doing that.
And regardless of his catch #s, during the biggest plays of games, it was Matthews going up and constantly making plays. Hes reliable and wants the ball during crunch time.
You could argue he was the most important player to his team than anyone else in the SEC. Meaning, you take him away from Vandy, theres no way they win 9 games the last few years. No way at all. More like 5.
Ive constantly said hes a top 3 WR in this draft class. And I didnt think he would put up the #s that he did at the combine. Which tells me that hes legit.
And he has very little bust potential IMO. Hes going to be a productive player in the NFL for multiple years. Great hands, great route runner, and knows how to get open. There arent too many skill players that have a very little bust factor. Hes 1 of them. A lot of the top guys do IMO, except Matthews. He might not be an all pro WR. But he will be a productive WR.

This x1000 I don't want Evans at all. Benjamin I'm on board with but I doubt he falls to us anymore. With the WR class being so deep this year it'd be very dumb to trade up to get either one too. I'm liking Jordan Matthews, always have, plus, and I know it means jack shite, he's got a blood line to Jerry Rice so that's gotta mean something right
The only reason the Saints shouldnt be taking a WR at 27 is if Gilbert, Dennard, or Moseley somehow fall, which I highly doubt they will. While Center and Gaurd is a need I feel it's one that can be addressed in a later round. Ideally, assuming the guys I listed earlier are gone, I'd like to get the best big WR available, then somebody like Jimmie Ward in the second, or some other secondary help. Then start going for the line-bolstering in the 3+ rounds.

I just read that Jason Verrett measured in at 5'11 193 lbs.
would be an excellent pick if so
