I have posted nothing but contempt for Payton for years on this board.

I wrote before last season how piss poor he set this franchise up to be and how he's a lazy coach who phones it in.

Later in the season he proved me right by walking.

He thought he was one player away for about a decade and he ran the team like he'd never have to pay the bill. Guess he actually didn't.

A super bowl bought him unlimited grace from some.

As it should have with our franchise’s history.

After 2009, he was a coach who won a lot of regular seasons games

The horror!!

then choked in the playoffs all the time.

All the time, huh?

And could you explain to me the difference between a coach choking and a player/players choking? I don’t concede the premise of your assertion, but would like for you to try to articulate it anyway.

Did his choking allow that touchdown in San Francisco after we had all but won the game to host the Giants in the NFCCG with maybe our best overall team ever?

Did his choking cause Marcus Williams to duck like a little bitch in Minnesota with one of the worst whiffs in NFL history, likely causing us another NGCCG?

Did his choking cause that ref to have the worst “no-call” PI in NFL history, costing us another Super Bowl berth?

Literally have zero to show for it after 2009

What would YOU, personally, have to show for a championship? Do you get a ring? Get to hoist the Lambardi? What exactly do you not have to show due to Payton’s on playoff chokes that YOU deserved and “literally” would have otherwise? A framed front page of the Times Picayune?

I got a lot of excitement and made fond 4-hour memories with my son and several friends. Losing is part of the deal. The sweet is not as sweet without the sour. The Patriots are a complete anomaly and have completely warped fans’ expectations. You have no realistic concept of how hard it is to win NFL games—any NFL games—much less Super Bowls.

Answer me this: Would you have rather been a fan of the Giants since 2006 or the Saints?

City is a cesspool of crime, failing infrastructure and corrupt politicians. Not the place everyone wants to live.

Payton is not going to any team with a shitty QB.

Well that is why he took the year off. Obviously. He is using this off year to talk Lamar Jackson in to signing with him and the Saints.
Lamar Jackson, Taysom Hill and then draft Anthony Richardson. Sean gonna be running all kinds of crazy arse plays.
